PRODUCT DESCRIPTION TIDI AquaGuard Sheets provide a moisture barrier to keep small surgical sites, wounds, dressings, PICC lines, and tattoos dry when showering. These disposable, single-use sheets are hypoallergenic, made without latex, and contain no DEHP. A specially designed adhesive is used to protect the area of concern during showers and allow the sheet to be gently removed afterward. No more improvised, do-it-yourself solutions! These self-adhesive sheets are made from waterproof material and provide a convenient PICC line shower cover, wound cover for showering, and tattoo cover for showering! They are the ideal size for use with small surgical sites, pediatrics, peripheral IVs, and transdermal patches. The actual area of coverage is 5" x 5.5" (12.5 cm x 14 cm). Please measure the site/dressing to make sure it fits within the actual area of coverage. For proper application, refer to the instructions for use (IFU) shipped with product. Note that the use of proper pleating technique ensures good adhesion and allows for desired range of movement during showering. For proper adhesion, the skin must be dry and clear from oils and lotions. Each sheet is designed for one-time use in the shower. Catheter placement near shoulder, this guard did not stay in place. Perhaps it's not meant for chest Catheter

Item should be included in medical insurance reimbursement as required surgical supplies

One of my family members was prescribe the Zio XT (patch heart monitor) for 14 days for Cardiac heart monitoring (instead of wearing the houter) so as to provide un-interruped EKG for daily activities. However, the monitor needs to be protected from moisture and water. No shower should be taken the first 24 hours. In hot weather and with sweating, it's extremely uncomfortable and un-hygienic not to shower. But with the help of the AquaGuard cover the whole Zio XT patch, the patient can take showers. This guard works very well, we just need to order a size bigger than the medical equipment that is involved. I hope drug stores or pharmacies all carry this item. For longer term supply, Amazon is still the best as pricing is better. Am surprised that Rite-Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart all do not carry such item.

Weak Adhesive

Was happy to receive, but does not stick well enough , lasted less than 1 minute in the shower and peeled off, catheter was soaked

Cardiac event monitor cover

I wore a cardiac event monitor for a week and used these sheets to protect the monitor from too much water exposure when I showered. The 5" x 5" sheets were not long enough to cover the entire monitor, but I turned the sheet to place it on my chest in a diamond shape with a corner facing up. The shower water ran over the sheet and did not soak the monitor. I got no leakage that way. The adhesive worked well after pressing down on it for about a minute before exposing it to water. I did get a bit of a rash from the adhesive after using the sheets nightly for a week, but this happens when I use Band-aids too. My skin is just sensitive like that. The rash cleared in about a week's time.
