This was for my 3 year old grandson and he loved it. He instantly played with it in the sand box. Was a hit with the kids at his party.

Not the same toy I had

This is mostly plastic, unlike the "classic" toys they are supposed to represent. It is still a nice representation of the old, and my son really likes it. I think the price is very steep for what you get, especially as the dump truck is around $20.

Sturdy as it should be

Got this Tonka cement mixer for my three year old grandson who loves his diggers and dump trucks, he loved it. It seems to be well made and I am sure it will stand up to the rigours of a active 3 year old boy.

Not the old type but still nice

If you are reading any depth of reviews for large size Tonka, you know the deal - much less metal and mostly plastic. You may not think it worth the price, it's up to you. Still my son loves it, and plays with it heartily, but not roughly, so I think it will last a while. The knob on the side turns the barrel and sand/small rocks/marbles will pour out. Though realistic looking, not recommended for pouring a foundation to your new backyard patio.

My 4 year old loved!!

We got this for my son for Christmas and he was in love!!! The cement mixer part actually moves and dump dirt when you put dirt in. It is literally everything my son hoped for. It half plastic and half metal tho, I guess I assumed it would be all metal like the tonka dump trucks. Still, highly recommend.
