No click... NO CLICK (read)
Ok, many reviews and the infamous YouTube video say that this has an audible click when you engage the lockup and draw back. In the YouTube video there is certainly a noise. With mine there is no noise whatsoever. Again, NO CLICK NOISE or any other noise. One quirk I learned tonight. The rest bolt for the vertical axis loosened while shooting. When I reset it, and went to reset the timing, I must have been a hair too tight and when I shot, with the lockup engaged, the forks would not drop. I loosened the timing a hair and problem solved. So perhaps it’s a touch sensitive. I purchased the AAE limb sandwich (last picture) to go with this and am glad I did. It makes it easy to adjust timing and positioning on the limb rather than using the stick on tabs that tt provides with the rest. The small added cost was worth it imho. Some reviews have complained about the spring breaking and longevity. I will update if I have issues and what happens. Planning to shoot all summer and through hunting season in the fall.

Ok
I think it’s used. It’s hard to get it adjusted, can’t get the rest to stay bottomed out, it keeps coming up about 3/16” , still accurate out to thirty yards. Wish I would have bought one that has fine tuning, but it’s okay. Well it did finally come apart ! So I called and they provided me with replacement parts. It has been working flawlessly since doing the repair. I am pretty handy and have access to tool, most people won’t be able to do these kind of repairs. I do think the company will fix for free but you have to pay for shipping. Like I said in the beginning I think the one I received from Amazon had been returned and busted by a previous customer. I really believe this is what happened. This is a good product, just buy from a store where you can see that the product has not been tampered with.

Impressed
Replaced a string activated drop away that was giving me fits and it was supposed to be the better design. Switched to this rest and all my troubles disappeared. Probably have a few 100 arrows through this rest and love it, better accuracy and less worry. The string keeper that goes on your limbs suck on this model but will work until I can find something that works and stays put better.

Came new in the box. Dropped it off along with my new Hoyt to get fitted and tuned! Can’t wait to shoot it

Fake knockoff unbranded cable drivin rest in the trophy taker packaging
This rest arrived trophy taker smackdown lockup packaging but it was actually some unbranded cable driven knockoff rest , it was shipped from Amazon but I don't see how they could have done this , I don't think they have knockoff archery rests lying around to put into different packaging, either way I requested to be sent a replacement with the real rest so if that one turns out to be fake I definitely won't be changing this review and will be filing a complaint

Absolutely LOVE IT!!!
This is the first limb driven drop-away rest I've owned, and because of that, I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on it. My last arrow rest was a QAD Hunter, and though I was NOT a big fan of that rest (loud & the drop-away was too slow), I did like having the option to lock the rest in the up position. The Smackdown was pretty easy to install on my 70#, 240-fps Quest AMP bow, it's EXTREMELY quiet, and the drop-away is LIGHTNING FAST. I watched a YouTube video review on the Lockup, and in that demonstration there was an audible click during draw when using the "Lockup" feature. The Lockup feature works flawlessly on my rest, and it does NOT make that audible click....it's perfectly quiet. Don't know what the deal was with the click on the one in the YouTube video. No matter how hard I tried, my old QAD Hunter did not drop fast enough to get out of the way of the fletchings, and it was leaving light marks on my the fletchings and on the forks of the rest itself. The Smackdown drops super fast resulting in 100% clearance every single shot. I also love that this rest is full capture, so once I nock an arrow using the ingenious little trap door on the enclosure, my arrow is locked in and I don't have to worry about it. I'm not an expert on drop-away rests, but I can tell you that I can't imagine finding another rest that I'd be more satisfied with. I have ZERO complaints so far.

Rest was used and not working as described
I didn't open for several months due toy new bow not getting in until now so I was unable return item. Upon opening with the bow tech the launcher arm wouldn't spring up tight, rest was used and missing the timing cord.
