These fit perfectly in both our wood stoves.
These fit perfectly in both our wood stoves. The only complaint I have with these and all wood stove grates are that they are not sturdy enough. When they get hot a stick of wood can bust them.

It's Grate!

Not as advertised.
Advertised as .6 inches thick, barely half that. The one I just installed measured 5/16". (.31). You would think that for the price, they could at least give honest dimensions.

Just what I needed.
I got these to replace a very old set of fire grates for my wood burning stove in my garage. After taking the old ones out in several pieces and cleaning everything up, these just slid right into place. They did seem to be just a bit narrower and shorter than the ones I took out, but only by about 1/8" in both directions. There was a bit of movement in them when first installed, but after getting some ash around the sides and possibly a bit of expansion they fit in there pretty solid with little to no movement now. I've had many fires in there since installing them with no issues at all. If anything, these are easier to clean off than the old ones due to how much flatter these are than the old ones. Anyway, a bit over priced in my opinion but overall I have no issues with these grates.

Works well and easy to install but the price was a little expensive

Hasn't dissolved like other grates
A very heavy, quality grate. Very impressed that it hasn't warped or oxidized into nothingness like other grates. I was leery of spending $70 on a piece of iron, but I was very pleased with the safety aspect of a quality piece of metal that doesn't dissolve. Also, it's not cheap to ship something that heavy, so I can also understand it costing $70 from that angle.

Not cheap immitations! You can rely on these grates.
I have the Wonderwood Model 2941 and this fits just fine. It takes two to completely replace the entire woodbox. One grate fills the woodbox halfway. Just make sure the built in side holders are free of ash and they sit nicely on them. And this is the best price I could find for these anywhere. Well made, heavy and when I removed the old ones, approximately the same weight and looks just like the original pattern of the old grates. Very pleased and can recommend this product to others. I've already noticed a difference in the heat from the stove. UPDATE: I replaced these grates in 2017 and now will be replacing them again this year. Based on this, these grates life expectancy for me (heating season from October thru May...way upstate NY near Canada) is 3 1/2 to 4 years. I burn approximately 20 cords of wood annually, and the grates become brittle at the midpoint in the woodbox. Its not a manufacturing defect, its the hot bed of coals combined with the weight of new wood being tossed in. Hope that this additional information is helpful. Their life expectancy will be determined by your area and use.
