Great straightening iron!

I bought this to replace one that I actually won from my hair salon after I broke it (my fault) because I loved it so much, and was crushed! It’s the best styling tool I have ever owned. It’s a little expensive, but great quality and absolutely worth it to me. It heats up very quickly (under one minute) and you have total control over the temperature setting in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It has an extra long strong cord too. It is easy to use. I’ll be a fan for life, as long as they keep being made!

Ceramic flat iron

Good quality flat iron. A bit on the pricey side but works as expected. Heats up quick, and leaves a smooth finish!

Smooths but Straight Doesn't Last

10/8/21~ Been using this for weeks & am over it. I've never had to work so hard to get a flat iron to flatten. Everything else is great but the the actual results are short lived. I have shoulder length, medium wavy hair, with long layers. Here's my results~ PRO * At 450, could still hold wand, tightly with 2nd hand, to smooth * Floating plates give comb-like handling. Runs through like silk * Heats up in seconds *Doesn't crease hair even holding tightly, sliding down & stopping CON * Hair just never got flat iron straight. Smooths but doesn't submit (Is this why it's called a smoother? Is it not supposed to straighten?) * Could. Not. Get. My Hair. to Withstand. Humidity. Even with products * Had to use every day to smooth again. Usually once & I'm done for days. * According to instructions my hair should flatten at 360. Even at 450, Fail. Didn't want to fry my hair so went up 20 degrees every use, starting at 360. I just don't understand how a flat iron can be so good at everything but heat? Maybe something is wrong with the element? My hair never felt "hot" even at 450. My old $30 Remington wet dry worked better than Varis. My current Hot Tools Pro iron can smooth my curls straight at 390. This couldn't keep my hair smooth, when blown out, for a day. Frizz city. I really wanted this to work & tried so hard. Maybe I got a lemon? So sad.

Useful but expensive straightener

My wife really likes this hair straightener and smoother. It is easy to use and hold. Also the iron area is nice and does not hurt hair while straightening. Also it can straighten her hair well and effeciently. However, it would be great if the price can be lower and be more affordable to everyone. Like it!

I do believe the ionic tech will outlast some others, that its a quality iron.. I like the cord length, the smooth heat, recovery etc.. but these are features many of my irons at half the price and less have.. My biggest issue is, even grabbing the tip area..( and most people go for the middle.) ..its so bloody hot, you can barely touch it! How did they overlook this???? Honestly, my fave so far is my hot tools white lightweight ones, followed by the curved one i reviewed a few months back.. Feels like a 60 dollar iron with a deduct 30 for overlooking how hot it is to handle.. ✂️✂️ 1/2

Quality flat iron

I’m amazed at how fast the VARIS Creative Energy Smoother Professional Ceramic Flat Iron comes up to temperature. It literally takes under half a minute to get to the temperature I desire. Definitely the fastest I’ve used so far and I’ve been through many flat irons in the past 10+ years. The built quality is excellent, feels sturdy yet not too heavy. The cord is nice and long. Love the digital display, now I know exactly what temperate the flat iron is on. This flat iron beeps whenever I use the buttons but no way to turn off the beeps. This maybe an issue because some people might be using it in the early morning and don’t want the beeping sound. It’s not all that loud but still annoying. I’m personally okay with the beeping sound. The flat iron does get very hot so don’t touch anywhere near the hot plate. I was able to do my whole head in under 5 minutes (I have fine, long hair and use 350F). Leaves my hair super straight and not dry like straw. My hair looks smooth and natural afterwards. At $199, it’s pricey but it’s worth it. Solid 4 star product.

Really nice hair straightener

I have been using the Sephora hair straightener for years and I’m glad to come across this one. It’s really great because it not only straightens my thick hair very well, but it also leaves it very smooth and soft. The different temperature modes is very nice and the straightener itself is very nice and high quality. My only complaint would be it’s price, it is very expensive and I don’t know if it’s comparable to the infamous T3 brand.
