Poor quality control and thin glass
Our company bought a 6-pack of these to try out. The attraction is the relatively low price, however there are issues. The flasks appear to be made of thinner glass than the industry standard Kimax and Pyrex flasks and this is especially noticeable on the lips which are much thinner than Kimax or Pyrex snap-cap flasks. Quality control is also not great. One of our flasks opening is muck too small and the snap cap just rotates on it giving no seal and rendering it useless. Our 6-pack is really a 5-pack, in other words. We bought a 6-pack of the 25-mL flasks earlier and these were similarly thin glass. In that case the thin glass of the lip manifested itself by being broken in transit making that 6-pack and 5-pack, too. Overall, quite disappointing. Finally, Sibata is a Japanese company, but the flasks are made in Taiwan. We expect better from a Japan vendor...or even a Taiwan vendor. If on a budget, I would rather buy used Kimax or Pyrex than these given our experience so far.
