That what ever you are cutting a whole into does not chip
This product chips every time you cut a whole into some thing that not concrete does not do like the as described for what you pay for it

Don't bother
Well, I only had 4 holes to bore (five, if you count the test hole in my scrap paver) and right out of the box I encountered an issue. the set screw broke in the SDS+ shank. And no, I was really cranking it all that hard- just trying to get it secure. Well, I figure I can use it for my five holes anyway and maybe try to drill it out when I'm done. That was the plan anyway. First hole (with the 4" bit) through 2" concrete pavers took more time than I thought it should, but eventually I got through. Great, onto the "real" borings in the patio itself. This hole took about 10 minutes to get through, but it got there. Next hole? Didn't get a half inch in after about 5 minutes of drilling. Gave up, gonna return this kit and I just ordered the 4-3/8" Bosch bit (which I guess I should have done from the beginning). EDIT: Also, when trying to disassemble this to return it, I noticed another fatal flaw. There's no flat flanges on the shank(s) to grip with a wrench while unscrewing the bit. Even with a good set of vice grips I was not able to hold the shank steady to unscrew the bit, so even if this had worked as expected, the rest of the bits would have been rendered useless as the one bit was pretty much permanently attached to the SDS+ shank.

Don't expect this to be a multiple use tool, it gets the single job done but not much more
