I expect FACTORY FRESH AND NEW, This was not.....
I EXPECT FACTORY FRESH. THIS WASN'T, PROBABLY A PRE-RETURNED ITEM THEN SHIPPED BACK OUT TO ME..... Package was opened when I received it. Wire nut bag was outside of box and loose in shipping envelope. Wires had been used, they were not clean cut like from the factory and wires were not as they should be if FACTORY FRESH. More and more often, I buy new but don't get FACTORY FRESH. I should get a discount for t his product..... I have not installed it yet but I hope it works......

Very nice with one flaw
Backstory - My wife and I bought a Hampton Bay fan which had 4 speed settings. Because of the electrical configurations of the switches in our house, we wanted to get a switch that controls both the fan and light. Because the fan has 4 speeds, we were under the impression a 4 speed switch like this product was necessary. As I went to hook up the switch, it dawned on me - no matter how many settings the fan has, almost any adjustment switch will work. Basically, the fan is put on high and the switch controls the speeds through a potentiometer or similar regulating device depending on the setting of your choice. Regardless of these circumstances, I finished the install (easy as any other dual switch). Flaw - The physical sliding switch quality is concerning (similar to other product reviews). None have broken yet, although I feel they might snap one day since they are small and made entirely of plastic. To make matters worse, the fan switch requires a significant amount of force to slide it from off to any other setting. We find ourselves taking a few extra seconds to turn on the fan to hopefully avoid breaking it. Update (5 Months) - Both are still working fine with at least 1 actuation per day. We never use the 4th setting on the fan, much too slow. Ordering a 3rd for my office. Update again (almost 3 years) - All is good, nothing broken or worn. My one flaw has been debunked.

Exactly like the original
I needed to replace the original control for my fan/light fixture after it stopped working properly and went to find the model that matched the closest (this was it). It works perfectly now. 5 stars!

Working good so far
Working well after a couple of days. This switch is kinda nice, it takes one supply wire and outputs to two sources with variable output. So, one hot supply can independently control fan speed and light output. One thing I wasn't expecting is the labels for the fan speeds, (on my switch anyway) 0 = off, 1= high, 2=a little slower, 3 = slower than 2, and 4 = lowest speed. Seemed weird to me. I was expecting 4 to be the highest speed and 1 to be slow, if 0 was off. I didn't wire anything backwards, as the wires coming out of the back of the switch are very clearly labeled. Just a weird operation is all. Other than that the switch seems to work great. If it burns my house down, ill reduce the number of stars... understandably...

Westinghouse 7787300 Ceilng Fan and Light Wall Control
just installed this to replace another broken off knob on a hunter fan's slide controller...we have five hunter fans throughout our house and have had to replace hunter fan controllers numerous times because of the knobs breaking off...the fan's themselves have worked flawlessly for almost 7 years now...just a note why i didn't give the westinghouse slide controller 5 stars...the fan speed slide is not as easily moved up to the desired speeds as i would like...have to grasp it with two fingers to slide it up and down...what i really like about the westinghouse fan slide controller is that it starts the fan in the fastest speed right away and can lower the speeds afterwards by continuing up with the slide...before with the hunter fan slide controller one would have to slide to the highest speed setting and then move down to the desired speed...this controller also adds a fourth speed to the hunter fan whose controller only offered three speeds... will update this review should longevity be a problem...

Spark spark! Hope it doesn't catch on fire!
I have this installed this wall switch on 4 of our rooms. They were all installed by certified and insured electrician. When you move the levers for the light switch then it acts as recessive light and it's a smooth slide up and down. But not for the fan control. When you move the fan lever, you hear a click for each speed that you move to. And when you have the fan on and you just want to switch it off, and you just slide it down then you will hear clicks and see electrical sparks inside the switch. This is happening on all 4 switches! So I'm taking extra caution and moving up fan lever one speed at a time so I don't create the electrical sparks. And I wonder... is this is happening to other folks as well? Do I need to get another switch?

It works, but poorly made
I had to get this to replace my old one which broke. These things work, but the sliders are crap. Imprecise and always feel like they're going to break. I'd pay double if someone made a really good version of this, but I have yet to find one.

Disappointed
Dimmer control for light changes the brightness by maybe 10% from full on. Fan speed control to me is backwards. 1 is high speed and 4 is slowest. Seems reversed to what I am used to.

Works well
Works well with our 3 wire fan. Doesn't fun the led bulbs too much, but that could be the bulbs.

Easy to install
The switch was very easy to install. The only thing I notice is the slide switch for the light is the higher you move up the brighter it gets but for the fan is the opposite it starts at the bottom on high and the farther up you go the slower it goes

Seems to work opposite
Seems to work opposite, not sure if that was how it was wired. Fast fan speed is actually low.
