Good product, installation requires some creative adapting of brackets.

It looks good and it is a good product. I installed it in the back of a GE gas range. Installation required some creative adapting of brackets, but since each installation might be somewhat unique I don't know what else the manufacturer could have done to improve the installation process.

Great to cover gaps on the back of a slide in oven

I had a Frigidaire slide in range and had a big gap on the back of the range and backsplash due to the location of the gas line. It would have cost me more money to bring someone to relocate the gas line then to just use this cover. I was worried if it will fit due to the branding but this is pretty universal. You can use different sides for different sizes you need to cover. Installation was tricky but if you follow the directions exactly, it should be OK. I also found a YouTube videos how to install it and that helped.

Installing product and general review

The product is very smartly made, it is triangle, so depending on what spacing you need it's just a simple rotation to achieve different sizes. I would HIGHLY advise this product for anyone with a SLIDE-IN stove of ANY brand. It is designed to fill the gap behind the stove, which most will have due to the gas line. I would like to warn others in advanced about a few things, the mounting brackets are terrible, some of the worse I've ever seen. Not only are they hard to use, the product assumes you can mount them from side to side, if so you might be OK. Let me attempt to explain further, if you have a dishwasher next to your stove [like I do], you will have a problem as you CANNOT mount the bracket. If your stove has a wall or cabinets on each side, than you CAN mount the brackets. I found this out the hard way but being a techy guy, I used a "L" bracket and have one side just sitting on the bracket and used the original hardware on the wall side - if done correctly, one could make it work. If you are in doubt on which color to get, get STAINLESS STEEL, if it doesn't look good, you can always spray paint it black for a few dollars - if you start with black you cannot go backwards to stainless steel - actually, you could attempt with paint stripper but be prepared for a lot of work - the product seems to be aluminum. Also, these are machine cut and may fall a bit short - I added a scrap piece of wood to the wall side, painted the color of my wall and mounted the bracket on that - this brought me about an extra quarter inch. I purchased this from Amazon, as an opened product. It was a great savings purchase and in mint condition but was missing hardware. Be prepared to fabricate a mounting bracket if you are in this position. Hope this review helps others desiring such a product.

Solid

This is a solid piece of metal. Way chunkier than I was expecting, and that's a good thing. It looks great and is a perfect application for filling the gap. However the suggested installation is just simply lacking. Using the provided brackets on the side just wouldn't work as our counter stuck out too far over the cabinets and was in the way. So we bent the brackets into more of a V notch. Attached the brackets to the drywall under the backsplash to have a channel for the piece to fit and not drop down. We put some screws into the cabinet on each side so that if and when you pull the stove out, the piece doesn't just fall forward and drop. But with the V brackets in place, we push the stove back to wedge it in and it looks beautiful. 100% recommended. You may just have to find your own way to secure it.

Hefty piece of stainless steel w/one small flaw

Hefty piece of stainless steel with one small flaw…rough and unfinished cut on one side. Should have better QA from Whirlpool since this is a certified replacement item. Overall happy with the item and finished product.

The rear filler fit my range.

I liked everything about it. It's triangular so will fit three ways, depending on how you rotate it. Has two small brackets for securing the ends to the side of the cabinet. But my cabinet tops (granite) stuck out beyond the edge of the cabinet so i couldn't use them with the intended method. But i also had a stainless side filler on each side of the range, which i could adjust to protrude the the rear a bit extra. Those side fillers had a bend at the end, made to butt up against the rear of the range. Well i stuck the brackets into the ends of the hollow rear filler and it held the rear fill in place. Even without that method, I could have found a way to use the furnished brackets to hold it up; i would just have had to do a little creative thinking. The filler color and texture matched my range perfectly and completely fills in the rear gap. I was able to make the height be the same as my range, making an integrated look. The filler i got was used but worked and looked like new.

Beautiful result! Works on my GE profile range.

Very happy with the result. Unfortunately I had to ask a handyman to come to cut this piece due to the builder’s inconsistency. The rear gap is less of 30”. (No wonder it is so hard to push the range in! Agh!) After my handyman cut it, he installed easily. Looks beautiful!

Excellent only product which matches to the original product. We are using GE cafe gas range and it suits really well. Bit pricy but no other option.

arrived scratched and used

Overall this is a good piece and I was able to use it, but it arrived with all the screws and brackets loose - so the screws actually scratched the surface of the piece. The glue-on brackets were clearly used by someone who had returned the item and it was not properly inspected before it was poorly repackaged and sent out to the next customer. The kit itself is good, but the way this whole experience turned out is crapppp
