Catches fish consistently

I own many different sizes and variations of this lure. They are great for having such a selection available for any situation. They also are a great value and seem to always be in stock. I have caught smallmouth, trout, largemouth, panfish and fallfish with great consistency. I usually start off my fishing exploits with some version of this lure, usually white or black, and they get me on fish regularly. Definitely be conscious about line twist so run a barrel swivel or snap swivel to combat that. Check out my pictures of the lures to see what they actually look like which is very accurate to the pictures Yakima has.

Make sure you use a swivel preferred small black one

This rooster tail is absolutely a killer for catching trout while trolling. My friends would hate me when I caught so many trout using this killer. True story! The feathers were almost completely gone and the spinner tarnished and it still caught fish.

Good lure but easy to get hooked on weeds

Beats the walmart $1 lures by a mile but dang wish they didn't get caught so easily on any structure or debris in the water.

Irresistible to panfish and bass

The Rooster Tail is my go to lure, and this color is consistently successful with a variety of panfish, Mayan cichlids, large mouth and peacock bass here in Florida. I've bought extra to have in my tackle box for the ones that get snagged, bent or loaned out to Mike and never returned. I've found it easier to buy online, despite the slightly higher price as local store don't have much of a selection in the 1/16th oz.

Great bait for crappie. The bait shop never seems to stock enough of these to keep up with the occasional northern pike will bite offs.

Decent product

Works pretty well. The blade occasionally gets stuck on the retrieve, but nothing a quick shake won't fix. Be aware of the sizing.

Fantastic for trout .

This is a great little spinner. Works great in murky waters with the gold blade. 1/16 oz is a nice size for most trout species. One of my favourites . Almost lost it and had to hop in the river to get it off the tree limb. Lol
