Hopefully your studs are close

My studs weren’t close enough together to anchor the mount properly. I checked YouTube for ideas and came across a video where someone used 2x4’s a hired to the studs with 5” lag screws and then attached the mount to the 2x4’s. That’s exactly what I did here except I used 3” lag screws. It added some time to my installation but overall it’s still not a hard piece to install. It’s sturdy and holds my 80lb heavy bag with no problem. It swivels a slihtly when you’re hitting the bag, but it’s nothing serious. So far so good!

If I remeber correctly this product is rated for 150lbs (can't check while writing this review). I have a 100lb bag and this is my experience so far. If you're not prepared to anchor this hanger to studs or bolt it to concrete this bag hanger isn't for you. I bolted mine to 2"x4"s and then screwed the 2"x4"s into wall studs. It is secure and I haven't worried about it coming down. The L shape hanger has height adjustment, I have mine maybe a couple notches up and the L shaped hanger is already beginning to slump a bit. You have to hang the unit high to begin with and do not trust the height adjuster unless you have a lighter bag. The clip that you actually hang the bag from busted the other day while I was practicing Teeps and now I need a studier clip. It would have been nice if sturdier material was included, but for $40 you get what you pay for. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and if it weren't for these inconveniences I would give this product 5 stars.

Get different clips

The clips that come with this are kind of cheap looking and we didn’t trust them. Other than that it’s pretty nice.

So I installed it and hung a 70lb punching bag and have it fully extended to the max it can go. It scares me because when the bag swing you can see the bracket move and bend but it doesn’t really bend. It still straight and woks well.

Decent handyman special for the money it’s decent.

Ok I’ve installed a lot of these. So I have experience but they can be real tricky to install. It’s not bad but you need hammer drill, and anchor sleeves. I am enjoying it so far in my small garage. If you have tools and are handy it’s fine. I also used anchor adhesive on my anchor sleeves. The adjustable arm will wiggle regardless how tight it is but for me it’s not a big deal. For the money I’m glad I bought it.

Works great to hold a 100lbs bag

It is too small to go into the wooden beams in the wall so I had to make a mount out of 2x4s running across the house beams to get it to mount but it works well once there is some adjustment. It is 14" and beams are 16inches apart in most homes.

Pretty easy to set up,

For the most part it was simple to set up. We're only using them for water bags so not sure how it'll hold up for sand bags. Other than that for the price it's a real good purchase.

I ended up returning this. When I took it out of the box I was surprised at how small it was. Its probably a good hanger, but for me personally it wasn't right for my setup. Biggest concern was how short the arm was - my heavy bag definitely been too close and hit the wall. I ended up going ceiling mount which was actually 1/3 of the cost.

Strength

I attached this to a concrete wall with plastic anchors and tightened with a torque gun. I am using a 70 lb bag but it can hold more than 100 lb the way I secured it. works great just wish it stuck out further from the wall.

Very disappointed

Was much smaller than expected, doesn't feel sturdy and seems cheaply made however easy to put together ... Kids have had it up for 2 weeks, holding up a 70 lbs bag and ita falling out and bending.
