Simple and reliable!
Still prefer this over products that hook to your faucet...don't get me started. Only downside is still having to drain my aquariums out the door...not great in the winter letting the heat escape or in the summer letting bugs in. Also, someone's gotta make these siphons truly secure to the rest of the tubing to prevent air leaking in. Once the hose stretches out a bit it starts to take air inside and compromise the siphon. Tape helps and is a quick fix. Always reliable (and at least fixable with a bit of tape.) Easy to use. I use it on a 55 and 125 gal. aquarium. Drains quickly with great suction using a longer, thicker tube out the door.

Wow
Wow. This siphon is ridiculous.. In a good way. I have a 75 gallon water feature in my monitor lizards enclosure and daily water changes were getting ridiculous. I purchased the siphon for the 60 gallon aquarium and it COMPLETELY drains my water feature in UNDER 20 minutes! I couldn't believe it! Water changes are so much easier now and I'm honestly so impressed for the price and simplistic design. However, the only downfall is it's quite tricky to get it started which can get a little frustrating but as soon as it starts draining I forget my frustration.

A must-have piece of tank equipment.
My tank is 18 1/2 inches (50 cm) tall and this siphon pulled all the debris out of the gravel. It rose up the lift tube in a dense cloud. If it were ever to draw too hard it would be easy to restrict the flow with your thumb and let gravity send the gravel back to the bottom. The debris is lighter so it doesn't sink as quickly. It gravity-separates everything perfectly. The hose has a tendency to fold over coming out the top. That's because the lift tube is 17 inches, almost the same height as my tank. A slightly shorter lift tube would probably hang the hose up over the edge of my tank better, but no big deal at all.

Too. much for a 29 gallon tank
I didn’t realize the 18” is meant for a larger tank. The suction was amazing for the rocks and it cut my time more than 1/2 of cleaning. It had too much suction for my size of tank. When the tank gets lower it’s hard to prime you have to really pump it. Lol. Sadly, I ended up hitting one of my fish try to get it primed and killed it. ????

THIS IS FOR 40 Gallon tanks or larger! I was buying my first gravel cleaner and bought this. If you look at the packaging, it says it is for 40 gallons or larger, but I couldn't find that listed anywhere in the actual information. I'm the kind of girl who says, "I can make it work" and then tried to use it. It made real quick work out of my tank once I actually got it to work.

Good Product At Reasonable Price
Pros: - The suction tube was long enough for me to reach down to the aquarium gravel in my 50-gallon tank that's 24 inches tall. - The hose is made of with good quality Cons/Wish: - The hose could be a foot or two longer - The clip to wrap the hose is not stuck to the hose and can slip off easily, not a deal breaker but I've already lost the clip...the clip doesn't impact the performance of the hose or suction but more of a way to manage the hose when you're storing it.

Loses prime constantly. You will drink a LOT of aquarium water trying to use this.
The effectiveness of this vaccum depends on how much dirty fish tank water you are willing to drink. When it can get a prime it works brilliantly - mine worked exactly twice. After that it leaked from the top and was un-primable afterwards. The "design" of the hose connection is also quite poor, because the hose itself will bend and kink right at the top of the pump when you're trying to get the outlet low enough to flow water. The weird and seemingly useless valve inside of the thing gets stuck on even the smallest debris as well, which causes it to (once again) lose prime. For the 5 or so gallons I was able to pump with this thing it was great, then it never worked again despite my best efforts and drinking half of my tank trying to prime it. Yuck.

Not such a sucker!
Not a bad price but seeing this siphon is for larger aquariums, mine isn’t huge at 40 gallons, I found the 6ft silicone tubing is too short, 3m would have been better, it also didn’t start as easily as I’d hoped, I have a good seal as I warmed the silicone under very hot water so that’s disappointing

It works very well. Only thing I don't like is that I have to remove it from my siphon/filler tube (which I connect to the sink tap) in order to refill the tank as it has a flap for helping start the siphon.

Works sufficient for aquariums!
Its much bigger then I expected. Definitely don't get this for a small tank! haha, works great for large tanks! Great quality too, no complaints

Ideal para acuarios altos
Perfecto, ahora el problema es que aspira demasiado rápido, Jajajaja pero muy bien y gran poder, ideal si tienes pecera alta.
