Aqueon QuietFlow Internal Shrimp Filters are specially designed for freshwater aquariums containing shrimp, small fish and other invertebrates. This filter includes a protective intake grid and pre-filter foam sponge that prevents livestock from entering the filter housing. Maintenance is easy, simply remove and rinse the intake grid and pre-filter. Each unit is preloaded with a replaceable Aqueon filter cartridge. Both hanging clips and suction cups are provided for internal mounting options. Hanging clips support filter on tank rim and suction cups attached filter to internal aquarium wall.

Just use a regular sponge filter

I used this for a planted 20gal and it does its job, just not the best filter I’ve used. I tried to get away from the bulky classic sponge filters but after using this 2 months I decided to just go back to a regular spong filter. The whole filter accumulates algae very very quickly and the suction sponge doesn’t work as efficiently because it is a small area and requires cleaning since plant parts and other debris cover/ clog it fairly quickly

Quiet and does the job.

This filter is great for the smaller aquariums. The water flow is very good, not overpowering blowing plants and substrate around but enough to keep the water moving. It is very quiet and keeps my aquarium clean and clear. I recommend this filter.

noisy NOISY no flow control and its huge

this thing is powerful. you cant control the strength of the flow at all, and its strong enough to blast substrate away from the current direction. its also enormous for a 20 gallon, 2 days in its been making very loud sucking sounds and if i could return it i would.

Love this little pump in my 20 tall Betta and cherry shrimp tank!!! Puts out enough flow that the surface water is moving not sitting stagnant and doesn't make a sound

NOISY!!!! Like listening to a kid shake a metal can full of pebbles!!

I purchased this when Tetra Internal power filters were on back order. It did the job. Made enough noise that I had to unplug it at night. Noisy.

Used pump did not even work

Purchased a New shrimp filter from Amazon LLC , was sent a used , in damaged packaging , not in any form of working order no hum or attempt from the motor to do anything , The quality control of amazon has really gone down hill in last year.

NOT SHRIMP PROOF

Very bad! It’s not shrimp proof. It sucks out all the baby shrimp!
