UHP49 is an abdominal and back heating pad designed to provide temporary pain relief through targeted heat application. Good size and warmth

Heat-up speed is good. The heat level is not super hot, and I can use the highest setting with bare skin. I like the strap and the overall size, it is perfect for soothing women's cramps or lower back pain relief. The material and fabric are well-made. Overall a great product!

Like everything about it - wish it got warmer

The size seems almost perfect, the elastic Velcro strap's length fits a wide range of waist sizes. The velour covering is comfortable and cozy. The power cord is plenty long and the 6 heat settings make it possible to fine tune the heating level. I like everything about this heating pad, except it doesn't get very warm. More of a warming pad. With just a little more heat it would earn 5 stars.

Good for bed time

I use and have gone through a ton of heating pads. This one is very soft and comfortable to wear. The strap makes it so that it doesn’t slip if you are wearing it. There are 6 heat settings. I started it on the highest setting and to be completely honest it doesn’t get hot enough for me. It might be okay if you don’t use heating pads often or need a higher level of heat. Because of the lower heat and the 2 hour auto shut-off, this might be a good option to wear as you are going to bed so you don’t accidentally burn yourself.

Plenty soft with a good fit but it won't make you sweat

Some like it hot. If you are into relief so hot that it will make you sweat this won't do it. With 6 selectable levels (0-6) even the highest selection of 6 does not produce high heat. Beurer UHP49 Heating Pad for Back Pain Relief is more of a steady low burn effect that is continous and warmer than a blanket. It will serve about 14" X 14" of skin surface when worn tight against the back.

It's nice...

I have psoriatic and osteo arthritis in my spine (and other places), and heating pads really help a lot. So when I ran across this, I thought it was worth a shot to try it. The thing is, I am plus sized, and the elastic is just barely long enough to catch on the velcro. So, it's not as comfortable for me. But, it's... nice.

No Frills Heating Pad Does the Job

The media could not be loaded. This heating pad is assembled in China and designed by a German company. It has a nice shape to it and fits well over your back and sacrum. It gives a nice penetrating, soothing heat. It has a long cord. It stays on for two hours, but there is no timer. There is a slide button for heat that goes from one to six. It has a nice sized elastic band, so it fits a variety of waist sizes. it works well on your back, stomach, and shoulders. It’s machine washable/hang to dry.

This is a nice heating wrap - great for menstrual cramps or low back pain. The velcro closure adjusts to fit many sizes and holds in place well. There are six heat settings, none of which are super hot like my old-fashioned heating pad, which leaves you with bright red skin (possibly burns!) if you leave it on too long. The fabric covering is very soft and comfortable, with no sharp or scratchy edges. The power cord is plenty long.

Works great and covers a wide area!

I suffer from sciatica and low back pain. This heating pad stays in place and is very comfortable to wear. Easy heat settings and quick heat up. The best part is how much of your back is covered by the pad. Very soft material, and fits a wide range of body types. Highly recommend.
