Case and urethane band and resin back cover. Biomass Plastic is a polymer material that contains renewable organic resources derived from chemical or biological synthesis and is expected to reduce the environmental load in order to achieve a circulation society. This time, the case and back cover are made of castor oil and the band is biomass plastic based on corn material. The soft urethane band uses a target guide, making it easier to read the direction of the second hand, and has a functional and beautiful design that makes it easier to understand your direction. The dial also features a thick hand and easy-to-read bar indexes for increased visibility. The PRW-61Y is designed with IP on the bezel. As the original function of the watch, it also combines practical functions such as multi-band 6 which receives radio waves from 6 stations around the world and tough solar. This model is perfectly sized for functionality and practicality that is suitable for various occasions. • Tough Solar (solar charging system).Operating time when fully charged without solar power: About 6 months when using functions; when power-saving state; About 25 months • Water-resistant to 10 ATM. • Radio reception function: Automatic reception (up to 6 times per day) (China radio waves up to 5 times per day) / Manual reception Reception radio wave: JJY, Frequency: 40 kHz/60 kHz (Fukushima / Kyus hu station model) Reception radio wave: WWVB, Frequency: 60 kHz If no radio wave reception is received, it will work with normal quartz accuracy (average monthly difference ± 15 seconds). • Automatic needle position correction function. • Needle evacuation function (manual and automatic when altitude, atmospheric pressure, temperature measurement). • World time: 29 cities around the world (29 time zones, with daylight saving setting function) + UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), home city exchange function, UTC direct call function. • Bearing measurement function: Measures 16 azimuth and azimuth angles (0 - 359°), continuous measurement of azimuth (60 seconds), northern direction indicator function, magnetic decagonal correction function, bearing correction function (2 point correction). • Altitude measurement function / Relative altimeter (measurement range: -700 ~ 10,000 m, 1 m unit), altitude difference indicator (measurement range 1:100 m / 5 m units, measurement range 2: 1000 m / 50 m units), altitude trend graph display, measurement interval setting function (5 seconds /2 minutes), altitude memory (measured date, date, time and altitude. 30 pcs Manual Memory), Auto Recording Data (Max/Lowest Altitude, Auto Accumulation (ascend/low) Memory) • The altimeter is a relative altimeter that converts barometric pressure changes to altitude. When the pressure changes depending on weather conditions, the altitude of measurements will change. • Barometric pressure measurement function (measurement range: 260 - 1,100 hPa, 1 hPa unit), pressure trend graph display (displays past 20 hours), atmospheric pressure difference indicator (measurement range: ± 10 hPa units), atmospheric pressure trend information alarm (arrow and alarm will notify you when a characteristic change of atmospheric pressure occurs). • Temperature measurement function (measurement range: -10 ~ 60 ℃, 0.1 ℃ units) • Stopwatch (1/100 second, 24-hour meter) • Timer (measured in increments of 1 minute, maximum set of 60 minutes, and 1-second increments). • 5-time alarms, time signal. • Battery indicator display. • Power saving function. • Fully automatic calendar. • Switch between 12 and 24-hour displays. • Low-temperature resistance (-10 ℃) • Control sound ON/OFF switch. • Double LED Light: Dial LED Light (Full Auto Light, Super Illuminator, Afterglow Function, Afterglow Time Switching (1.5 sec/3 seconds), LED Back Light (Full Auto Light, Super Illuminator, Afterglow Function, Afterglow Time Switching (1.5 sec/3 seconds)

Super comforable, set-and-forget Tool Watch
The size is really great for a ProTrek. It wears much like a slightly chunky but typical 42mm watch thanks, in part, to the tapered metal bezel. It is extremely light and comfortable. The light weight, soft band and great sizing make it almost disappear on the wrist. Legibility is amazing. The lume is great and I can even read the time without my glasses (which is saying something). The LCD is also much better than the blacked out versions. While the LED light might not seem nearly as cool as the backlight in other models, it is super useful as a backup flashlight (for quickly finding things in the dark - like a real flashlight ;) ) and slightly charges the lume on the indices. The second hand hits every mark dead on except for around the 35-40 positions. I've seen something similar with another ProTrek Model. So it's very good for a Quartz and all-in-all very accurate and easy reading. The movement is also very quiet and unobtrusive. All of the settings and features are easy and straightforward to use. While I don’t care for the use of the screw down crown for settings, the UI is very consistent and there are many nice touches I enjoy. For instance- it shows the charge level whenever entering time mode, holding down the mode button jumps back to time mode, and a button combo moves the hands out of the way of the LCD. All pretty slick. The standard Digital watch features aren’t much but they are there. The alarm is very quiet and the stopwatch and timers are extremely limited. Adjusting these with the crown is very slow and awkward. They really seem like an afterthought at best. I would expect much more from a watch of this price in 2023 from a top digital watch brand- but whatever. So far I’ve had only great signal syncing to the atomic clock in different parts of Colorado. But reception reliability dropped precipitously as close as Utah. If you are very far from the tower in Colorado Springs, or there are lots of mountains in the way, that feature might be sketchy (and require finding the right spot for reception) or simply unavailable. I assume the same holds true in other parts of the world. All of the sensors needed calibration to be usable. While I think they are fine, esp as a backup or to ballpark the weather or altitude- I don’t trust the compass and would never want to have to depend on it. I love the barometric graph on the main time setting. Unfortunately sometimes the graph randomly resets/clears (usually when using other functions like stopwatch for a long time- but not always). You can still see the current reading in a high/low/mid position though- but it makes it seem a bit buggy/cheesy. While I generally like the UI- I’m not the biggest fan of the ordering of the modes. I would like to see World Time (and possibly other watch feature) be more prominent, and I don’t really care much about the altitude recording mode (and find it strange it's not accessible from the dedicated altitude reading button) - but that’s just my preference and everything is there and accessible. The crystal is a smudge magnet and really detracts from the watch. Fortunately I was able to get a screen protector that can take some scratches and resists smudges. but some light taps to the bezel left a couple small dings already. The metal seems quite soft and I expect it to show lots of wear over time- and for this to not really be fixable/polish-able due to the timezone indices. While it is from the "climber" line I would stick to a G-Shock for real climbing- although this will be fun to take on some hikes on the level 1 & 2 fourteeners when the weather is better. ;) It’s a pretty well thought out and solid watch. The very definition of a set and forget tool watch - esp for someone in the Rockies. Even though it’s all plastic it doesn’t come off like a cheap $30 sports watch. Instead it looks pretty good and interesting. I’m not sure it really looks like a $300 watch either- but that could be a good thing.

Brand new Casio ProTrek PRW-61
Got my new Casio ProTrek PRW-61 solar/RC watch, bezel size is 41mm is a smaller watch compared to my PRW-6611 which has a bezel size 45mm. The wristband is a 23mm quick release plastic wrist strap. Very capable watch with compass, altimeter, barometer/temperture sensors. The dual white led is very bright, lighting up through the bottom face indicator to the whole watch face & lcd.

New and Improved
This bio-plastic is really cool. It is light-weight andcomfortable, hopefully it really takes off in the future. Packed with all the features but 100 meters water resistance, which for me is good enough. Mostly I had to try the new bio- plastic and it does not dissappoint.

Lightweight, smaller sized, and nice lume!
The media could not be loaded. Seems like a great Pro Trek. The illumination on this model is amazing (for a Casio at least). The plastic case back makes for a lightweight watch; however, I’m unsure if this will compromise the integrity of the watch in the future. Time will tell. The positive display is a big plus for legibility. Also I like the touch of yellow, which doesn’t seem to be featured too often on Pro Treks. The bright white indices with matching hour/minute hands on a dark watch face make this really easy to read. Long as this watch holds up, it’s a win in my eyes.

Light and Comfortable
This is the lightest Pro Trek that I know of. The strap is soft and very comfortable to wear; you can barely feel the watch on your wrists. Legibility is excellent with the large dials. A good buy. Update (two months after purchase): Dropped to 3 stars after 2 months of use. The screen is now scratched up after I accidentally bumped my hand against a few surfaces. I've had many G Shocks and Pro Treks and this is the first one to scratch so quickly. If you want your watch's glass face to be scratch-free, go for Pro Trek's Sapphire glass models.

Where is the manual... I cannot adjust the time manually.
Where is the manual to set it up? Why not add a manual or link to refer to?

Amazing
This watch is extremely light, wears well, and is made in Japan. I think the plastic back is nothing to worry about since Suunto had the vector out for years with no issues. The illumination is great and readability can’t be beat. A must buy!
