Great protection from biting insects!

I have very bad allergic reactions to No-Seeum bites (flying midges) and will be bitten multiple times within minutes of going outside. Since they're so bad in my area, I needed some type of serious protection since sprays don't work. The Coghlans bug pants give me great protection, even from these tiny, biting bugs. It has an elastic waistband and bungee type elastic closures around the ankles. I have not been bitten a single time since getting my bug pants. Thank you for providing me with a product that provides me 100% protection from biting insects and allows me to go outside and enjoy the outdoors again!

Helpful, but not comfortable

I like that I have only had one mosquito bite that actually came through the netting and got my arm somehow. I ordered the largest size, so it stands away from my skin in most places. I can't see through the netting (face part is black) well enough to read, so I still have to use DEET on my face which I would like to avoid. My main complaint is that it is already very hot in Louisiana, and the mosquito netting suit makes it even hotter. The mosquitos are even worse than normal. I had hoped the deep freeze would have killed them off, but I guess they are bad in Alaska, too. I can't spray enough DEET on to keep them off of me. So I will keep the suit even though it is uncomfortable.

Easy to layer

These will fit over many layers if needed. I plan to soak them in Deet so I don't have to spray my skin or clothes as much.

Damaged box and looks like old product

I have only tried them on as of yet. I am 5' 11" , 220 lbs, and they seem to fit alright. My big disappointment is that the box was ripped up and taped shut. If I had purchased it in a store, I would want a discount or choose a different box. I think it was pretty shoddy of this company sending this torn package. I couldn't see any damage to the netting but not sure.

great for hiking in summer

I have a spider allergy and carry an epi pen so, although I love summer hiking, I'm afraid of getting bitten if I wear shorts. I usually wear long pants when I hike in summer but this allows me to feel better about wearing shorts. I ordered a large, but should have gone smaller...I'm a tall woman size 12 and wanted to be sure they were long enough. The large was plenty long for my 33" inseam. I rather think a medium would have fit better. side note...these are not sexy and my kids think I look ridiculous in them.

Exactly what I needed, keeps the mosquitoes at bay!

Although a little large for wearing shorts but are comfortable. These will be great in the fall to ward off the pesky gnats. These are not a fashion statement, but do the job they are designed for. They seem sturdy, are well made and are a great value, totally worth the price. At 5' 8" and 200 lbs, there is still room to spare.

Can’t wait to use

The bugs love me and I don’t know why. But I’m looking forward to using these on my camping trip coming up!!! A little big but the draw string allows for easy adjustment! I hope they work

It Works

I am allergic to mosquito bites! I bought this pant as a last resort. My friend told me about them and I thought I have nothing to lose. I wore them over long pants that gave me no protection from the mosquitoes, and it worked! I could see the mosquitoes land on the fabric but not get through! Not even the small "No See'Ems" could get to me! Hooray! Finally, I can go out during the summer and have fun too! Yea, I may look funny but it beats being sick from bites and losing time with family.

Return sucks

I sent back the item via Canada Post, got notice that Amazon asked them to hold it on May 17. Amazon now has sent notice that these haven't been returned and I will be charged for them. Even though I did send them back, and they put a hold on them with Canada Post!!! Very upset that this is happening.

Sizing is correct

Reasonably priced. The original bug jacket is too hot. An all mesh jkt like this is cooler. And it seems robust enough

No sitting if you want protection!

If you sit around a bonfire, do not sit in your shorts as you will still get eaten alive is the screen is touching your skin. Unless you plan to stand all night, it doesn’t protect very well... even with pants on.

Extremely large to fit for women

They have a massive waist and very long pants for women of 5’7”

Flimsy material

Keep the deerfly away. They're not made of tough material as I walked by a raspberry bush and even though it barely touched me, the material ripped.
