Fits tall 12 year old

I purchased this for my 5’3 12 year old and it fit fine. Everyone we were camping with wished they had one.

keeps warm

I am 5'3" and 130 lbs. this size is very comfortable - loose for me. It definitely provides protection for bugs and mosquitos but the material is scratchy on the skin and it keeps the body warm. It is machine washable but washing didn't soften it to ease scratchiness. Thus, not very comfortable for hot summer yard work. I would prefer that the face portion was also green like the rest of the jacket instead of black. It hinders visibility somehow.

Cheaply made but worked.

I've only worn it once so not sure how long it'll last. But I went outside during mosquito hour and do not get one bite.

odd way to get into a jacket

got this for my granddaughter to wear... out of the box it had an unpleasant odor (which got better as it hung in the closet). The hood part actually comes from behind and over the face -- then zips sideways at the front neckline, so even if you don't want to wear the hood, you still have a zipper crossing at your front neck line. Gladly this wasn't a heavy bug year and she never did need to wear it.

FREAKING AWESOME.

This jacket is AWESOME. I am a petite adult- 5'1, 120 lbs/, this fits perfect, it's a little big. I LOVE IT. I am the type that gets bit non stop by mosquitos, and I swear, I wore this in the worst part of the woods, and I did not get bit ONCE. I wasn't even bothered by flies, they usually swarm around me while I water my plants. NOT ONE bothered me. I would not only recommend this to EVERYONE, I want to buy the pants, and anything and everything else that they make. And also, this comes with a hat. It's very lightweight.

Give them confidence to keep the critters away

My oldest grandson has autism and Asperger's. He had a negative experience + allergic to a wasp. We had a hard time getting him back out into nature after the incident. This has helped him with some confidence and keeping the bugs off. It's wonderful when you live in the country and you're running through the trees

Does the job

I use the adult version for fishing or outdoor work during very buggy conditions. Seems to be built as well as it can be for a mesh material. The fine mesh does darken your vision but that is unavoidable if you need the finer mesh to keep out small bugs.

Great for 10-14 year olds

I had purchased this for my 8 year old and it fit her quite big, I am sure she will grow into it in the next couple years and suggest it fits kids 10-14 years or a very large 8-10 year old. It does the job though, since the retractable elastics mean that you can still keep bugs off even if it is a bit too big.

A must for every cottage dweller or avid camper

Although a youth size my 2 yr old grandson can fit this with the pull cord sleeves and wrap around the waste. The zip face protector keeps him safe from biter flies and mosquitos on fun Marwh walks and evening stargazing before bedtime

Must have during summer camping

Went summer camping for the first time this past June and was swarmed by deer flies and mosquitoes!!! I have never been so appalled by camping (at least in the summer due to bugs) but I made my peace and found compromise with bug jackets and this did the trick. Mind you! Wear a long sleeve still if you really want to protect yourself. Yeah I can go camping again so long as I have this

Cheap

You get what you pay for in this instance. Jackets feel very cheap and flimsy and kids are scared that they are going to get wrecked the first time they are worn.

Sized for a teenager or adult under 150 lbs

Great bug jacket but minus 2 stars as it is NOT youth size, I am 5'6 and 135 lbs and it fits me perfectly. I Bought this for my 2 year old son knowing i would have to make some adjustments to make it smaller. Not sure if that will be possible with the neckline, but there is draw strings on the arms and the bottom that can provide a smaller fit.
