Nice decora push button z-wave light switch
Started installing new smart switches and decided to try the Eaton Z-Wave switches since there was already one pre-installed. Thought the switch had a nice modern look as I prefer the push button on/off versus the pseudo "toggle" like some other Z-wave switch brands. When paired with a Z-wave hub the switch came up as a Generic Z-Wave switch even though it is a Z-Wave Plus switch. For my purposes, I am just looking for basic on/off and automation controls with some sensors. Range in pairing with my hub seemed good, nothing noticeable compared to others I've used. Only issue I had was that the pairing was finicky in that the LED wouldn't stop blinking at first after pairing. That happened because if you press the light more than once during Z-wave inclusion it doesn't control the LED correctly. Other downside for me is that for the cost of the switch some more features such as an included wall plate, power monitoring or scene control would have been a good addition. The overall size when compared to other Z-Wave switches I've used was relatively similar. That is you'll need to really push in your wiring to get the switch into the back of the electrical box. Bottomline, it's a solid switch made by Eaton/Cooper with nice physical design features. A little costly compared to some other Z-Wave generic switches. No wall plate included and no energy monitoring.

So much misinformation in other top reviews
I have multiple of these in my home. One reviewer wrote an extensive complaint about items such as the qr code not working - the qr code must be paired with a controller (such as smart things) to do anything... it isn't a web link. Complaints about the wiring diagram not showing where the red and white wires connect (they connect to your breaker panel after contacting the light, just as they would with any light switch...). You don't need another smart device to make this a 3 way, just a regular "dumb switch." Essentially this reviewer has no business writing a review, because they have no business installing an electrical device in their home without understanding of basic installation information. Another reviewer complained that they couldnt change the order of the light on the switch to be opposite when the ceiling light was on, and that you need a $300 controller to make this modification. This is also false, and if he had read the instruction manual, he would have known there is a series of button presses that could be made to manually make these adjustments without another smart hub. The light switches are decent quality, and work as they should. If you know anything about installing a light switch, coupled with basic knowledge in how a smart home works, you should have no issues with this product.

Defective Product
Eaton does make a good product but the one I received was defective. Thanks for charging me a restocking fee for a defective product you shipped me. I appreciate that and in return I will never buy from you ever again.

Do not buy if you are using it for a 3-way application
I bought one of these from Lowes because I was in a pinch (I normally buy from Amazon). I have put in several Z-wave three way switches but this one does not wire like any of the others. I ended up not being able to make it work and returned it. Amazon is delivering my of standby (Enbrighten 46201 and 46199-companion add-on). The issues were as follows: -Wiring guide was terrible. -Wiring was different from every other brand -No videos that show wiring the three way in detail -Website was hard to find things on -No support on the weekend -Guide on line different than the one that came in the box -Stranded wire rather than lugs (screws), this required 5 wire nuts making the box too crowded -Troubleshooting guide was not of any use because it did not give solutions -The QR code did not work (there were 2 and one took you nowhere the other would not even identify as a code). Some folks like the stranded wire because of the flexibility but I have a crap-ton of wires in the box and in addition to making it more difficult to get a secure the connection it was too crowded. The most frustrating part of this was the wiring diagram and its lack of detail. Note in the picture there is no reference to the fact that the neutral wire is shown connected to the white wire and the red but no connection of the two coming together. I tried multiple ways and never could get it to work. The companion was not correctly represented either. Sad to see the lack of quality control to insure the consumer can use this product. Spent hours on this and then finally gave up and took it back.

Blue LED Indicator Light is opposite of every other brand and it costs $300 to change it.........
You have to by this EATON HOMECT $300 hub, just to change the default state of the blue led light. All other brands that I have seen default that the led light on the switch is on when the overhead light is off (so you can find it in the dark). The EATON RF9601DW Z-Wave Plus Wireless Switch requires you to have this hub and an app just to change the default state of the blue led light on the light switch. Every other switch that I have seen allows you to change this small led light indicator light using the light switch itself. You would think if they want to be different then the other z wave light switches then they would make it easier. I didn't pick this light switch it was installed by the home builder with a smart home package. Per Eaton tech support the only way to switch this is in the app and this $300 hub is needed. Don't let home builders use your products as it doesn't play well with others and no one wants to use your hub when there are hundreds of better options. You really want me to pay $300 to change the state of the blue led light on the switch - when I can buy another z-wave light switch from any other brand and make it work.....

Good switch.
This switch works well but it is too pricey. It has good installation instructions included, but it is difficult to know how exactly to connect it to your home hub. You will need to refer to your home hub for connection steps.
