Good replacement at a decent price

Bad quality, blades bent in less than 6 months use

Got this to replace the ice container assembly that came with my Frigidaire which lasted me 15 years before it gave out. Got the new assembly container in and at first it worked great but after less than 6 months of use the blades that chop the ice bent under normal use and kept causing the assembly to bog down and quit working. Luckily I kept the old ice assembly when I took that out, cause you never know what is going to go out next, so I disassembled the old container and removed the set of chopping blades and took the new tray apart and put the blades from the original ice container assembly on it, put it back together. Now it works again and crushes ice like a champ. Comparing the original blades to the blades on this replacement unit, the blades on the replacement weren't as sturdy as the original blades. The quality on the replacement ice container assembly is no where near the qualify of the original part. The ice chopping blades should not bend from crushing ice, that's their job!

I had a broken augar plate. After pricing, viewing DIY videos... I bought this. Took out of the box, washed it out. Put in the freezer. Boom! Ice again!

These trays come in TWO sizes!!!

I had some trouble identifying the appropriate replacement ice tray assembly for my refrigerator. It appears that THIS tray is designed for "standard" size refrigerators, but the refrigerator (that the builder supplied with the house) is a "counter depth" model, that requires a shorter ice tray assembly. I had to return this one to the vendor for a refund and order the "correct" tray for my particular refrigerator from another vendor (not available on Amazon). Having lived with the Frigidaire "Gallery" appliances supplied with my now 6-year-old home, I wouldn't recommend any of them. (House came with cook-top, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator -- The oven needs to have an internal fan fixed (it's very noisy), the dishwasher leaked causing $10,000 in damage to the hardwood floors, and the refrigerator has had several problems with the ice maker, first one I was able to replace a broken part, second time, I had to replace the whole tray assembly.)
