Like many.... ...other reviewers, my "go to" rinse aid is "Finish Jet Dry Ultra" always bought at Costco ON COUPON. The most recent cost per 32 ounce bottle was $7.99, and Jet Dry rates that bottle as providing 300 washes. So, a gallon of Jet Dry on coupon: $32.00 and 1200 washes. This: $30.00 but no claim as to how many washes you will get from the gallon (at least none that I can find). Up until now, my Bosch dishwasher has only had "Finish Jet Dry Ultra" brand in it. The thing I and you will notice immediately (if Jet Dry has been your brand) is color and lack of color. Jet Dry is blue. This is a clear/white, almost iridescent liquid. The Jet Dry is thicker, though not something as thick as, say, "Dawn" dish washing liquid. This product is closer in thickness to water. Because it came in a gallon bottle, I poured 4 ounces in a pyrex cup to refill my dishwasher (which a month after ordering this, finally told me it wanted a refill). My dishwasher only took 2 ounces, so my stainless steel sink got a treat. If you put your nose up to the bottle, you may detect a slight scent, but otherwise, I would agree this is pretty much unscented. How did it do??? Using the same cycle, doing all the same things (getting the water hot before starting the dishwasher, etc.).... The look and feel of anything shiny...glass, glazed dinnerware, flatware (etc) was the same. Excellent. Dry, shiny and no spots. The plastic, well, I don't use a true dry cycle, though the Bosch may be doing a little bit of drying. All of the plastic was, again, identical and that is wet and spotty, removed to dry in the, next to the sink, dish drain. I think it's fair to say, the main "advantage" of this is the lack of fake colors, scents, thickeners (not saying Jet Dry uses one, but....) and it represents itself as "green" being all of those things and "plant based". For most, the gallon bottle is both convenient and inconvenient. You won't run out for a while, but pouring and storing may force you to be more creative than just using the convenient "little" 32 ounce bottle of Jet Dry (I'm gonna save mine when it's finally empty and fill it with this....). Based on the initial performance, it appears to be a good product. Time, how often I see the "refill rinse aid" message/how long it actually lasts will determine if I would order it again. I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision. I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.
