Inaccurate sizing

I bought the black pair from Sierra trading post in size small they fit my 9yr old great and have kept him warm… I was looking for the same pair in a size smaller for my 7yo and couldn’t find any so i ordered these red ones… they’re the exact same size as the small despite saying XS… now I have to return and I’m the hunt again for a smaller glove
