Heavy but cleans well

suction power is great!

I have never owned a vacuum, but I recently moved and I had to get one. I did a lot of research on vacuums and this the one that consistently kept popping up! My only issue is that the level no longer changes when I go to change the level. I have taken apart the head to see of it could fix it, but it still does not work. still an Amazing vacuum!

Hoover Customer Support

If you have something break on your hoover, good luck and getting it fixed. I have been trying to get in touch with Hoover's support to replace a hose in multiple different ways such as email through their website, emailed directly from my Gmail account, called and held for 45 minutes then was given the option to put my number in for a call back and have not received a call back yet and that was 7 hours ago. They are a different time zone than I am which is Eastern time. However, when I called back at 3:45 eastern time they were closed. Supposedly their hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. Most likely something to do with not having enough people and their customer support. I am so over that. We'll see if somebody calls me back tomorrow.

I’ve only had it 4 months, and it started breaking Belts. April 3… and Hoover’s customer service, don’t hold your breath. If you ever get Customer Service to answer the phone, it’ll feel like you won the lottery. Their customer service stinks…

Unsurpassed Quality And Performance!

Never Before have I owned a machine that is of such quality, in workmanship, in performance, in ease of use and styling to compare with this machine I have now. I openly admit that I've wasted a small fortune on vacuum çleaners in the past, by trying to save a mere few dollars! The difference between this machine and the vacuum çleaners I've owned in the past, is that there is no comparison, at all! I'm a 72 year old Vietnam veteran, I live alone and I will not tolerate a unclean home. Moreover, no matter how clean the rest of a house might be, if the floors that I walk on aren't equally as clean, or more so, the rest of the house is still in need of that much more attention. This Hoover Elite Swivel Max Life floor cleaning system is Above And Beyond anything that I have ever owned before! There is simply no comparison, whatsoever, to the quality, the performance and the attractive style of this fine product! To consider a mere few dollars difference between this machine and one of, presumably, equal to this vacuum, is that there is no comparison, whatsoever, in any way, at all! Great Product

So far so good. The vacuum is lightweight and moves easily across the carpet. Suction is great as well. Love the headlight and that it swivels to get under the coffee table. The only thing I would change is a longer cord. I will add a extension cord and it will be perfect for my home. Glad I got this vacuum.

Some frustrating problems

The suction on this vacuum is good, but there are a couple of things that will keep me from buying one again. First, the belt on this vacuum slips off all the time. I have to open it up and put it back on. This is very annoying. Second, and most frustrating of all, the roll bar never stops. Not even when the vacuum is on the hard floor setting or when the vacuum is upright and not engaged. Because of this, if the cord gets under the vacuum at all, it gets eaten by the roll bar and the wires are exposed. This has happened to me more than once, even though I am very careful to keep the cord away from the bottom of the vacuum most of the time. For these reasons, I am going back to the Shark, which is a better vacuum in this price range.

Not worth the purchase

I thought this upright was going to be the answer and sadly it’s not. It’s cumbersome, not easy to manoeuvre, doesn’t go under furniture, and is NOT good on the stairs or when using the crevice tool. The hose is not long enough so when you try to use the crevice tool, it tips the whole vacuum and is very cumbersome to even move the tool around. Not worth the price. Wish I could return.
