Good choice!
This is a great primer if adhesion is a priority as opposed to sealing. I was painting a stained honey oak bookcase. I was concerned about adhesion to the satin finish. Stix is not a sealer, thus I wouldn’t recommend it for covering dark wood such as mahogany or dark oak. “Stix” seem to fit the bill. I lightly sanded the oak before applying. It dries very smooth and is rather opaque when dry. I then applied 2 top coats of paint. I was happy with the results.

Oops - watch out for water!!!!!!!!!!!!
After reading about how tough this primer is - how it's Waterborne - use on fiberglass - all info on main page - I bought it and applied two coats to my fiberglass bathtub tonight. Tomorrow I'll apply Rustoleum Tub and Tile over it. "But, during a break - I read reader reviews where the manufacturer warns not to use Stix in baths or showers or on any surface in contact with water. ??? - why doesn't it say that on the main page??? Any predictions how it will react and hold up after I apply the Tub and Tile paint?

Upcycle
Can I just say I love this product! I upcycle stuff from the thrift store. I had some ceramics I wanted to repaint. I used about 3 coats of this and let it dry well. I have a brand new surface to paint on. AMAZING for this purpose at least.

Buen producto
Yo lo uso para pintar la tina del baño, ya que tarda mucho en pelarse y no se siente resbaloso

Backsplash upgrade!
Painted over tile on our kitchen backsplash. This primer worked like a DREAM. One year later and paint still looks amazing and I think this product really contributed.

Excellent coverage
I was able to get two coats on walls of the tub/shower and two coats on the sink and countertop. Great foundation to a beautiful finish for my projects.

Yes yes yes
Yes to this primer ! What a life saver when I was painting the trim in my house. This went on with ease and cut my paint coats in half ! Worth it. Price is a little high but it definitely saves time with painting and holds well.

Sticky AF
Could probably stick Nikolado Avocado to the wall with this stuff. Used two layers of this, acrylic white paint, and sealant for my shower. Looks and work great. Thanks for making this product.

It works perfectly
I miscalculated the amount I was going to need and had to order another one in the middle of the project, but it turn out fine at the end, it looks clean now and it’s a little less glossy than I was expecting but it’s good.

Expired product
This primer has expired, as the consistency is super off. It is impossible to stir it, as the top layer is almost water, the middle layer is chunky (see photo) and the bottom layer is rock solid. I don't know how long it has been sitting on the shelf, but clearly, for a while. I wasn't able to stir it and use it on my wood panel, so I got a new primer from Canadian Tire and asked for a refund for this one. My refund was declined by Benjamin Moore (supplier) as it is bought through Amazon, not Benjamin Moore's physical store. So I just spent $50 on this can of garbage. Obviously, don't recommend this product!
