PLEASE READ!
The only reason im giving this a 4 star review is because the care information is incorrect! I followed the care instructions and after wiping off the excess cream the board immediately dried out. This worried me, I also live in Colorado so I know we have no moisture. I called my dad, professional commercial and home painter with 40+ years experience. IF YOU LIVE SOMEWERE WITH LITTLE TO NO MOISTURE, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS! This will ensure your Boos Board Will last! Make sure you have something thin to rest the board on, like chopsticks. 1st, SOAK the board in the oil, be vey generous and get all sides 2nd, after soaking, leave board in a comfy 70 degree environment to ensure the wood pores are open and absorbing all the oil. Let sit 6-12hrs, check on it occasionally, if you notice all or most of the oil is absorbed move on to step 3. 3rd, your board should have absorbed most of the oil and still looks dry and dull. Reapply the oil and return board to resting area, leave for another 6-12hrs. Repeat these steps until the board stops absorbing the oil; it took me 5-6 days just to do the oil, their will be a lot of oil pooling on the surface signifying the board can't absorb any more oil. 4th, Wipe off excess oil 5th, Apply the board cream, be very generous, get all sides, you want excess cream covering the board. 6th, Move board back to resting area and leave for 12hrs. 7th, After 12hrs, wipe excess cream off board (you won't get all of it) 8th, Using a fresh rag or whatever your using, use remaining cream on board and smooth out evenly to create a shiny smooth surface. 9th, Return board to resting area and leave for 12hrs 10th, Your board should be shiny, not dull! If your board is still dull, repeat steps 5-9. If your board is shiny, go ahead and put it away. DO NOT WASH IT BEFORE FIRST USE!!! The remaining residue will help to preserve the board during storage. Also, assuming you used the Boos Board "Mystery oil" and "Board cream". These products are made of food grade mineral oil, carnauba wax and beeswax, meaning they are safe to consume and will not contaminate your food. Other than that, I love this board! It actually stays put on my counters. But I also use a little known trick of putting a dish towel under the board, works every time! As long as you care for the board it will last!

Great lil cutting board that doesn’t wobble when cutting.
I was afraid this might be too small and since it doesn’t have a drainage cut out of it, I thought it would be messy, but it is absolutely perfect! I’ve noticed some cutting boards when you’re watching demonstrations and boards will be moving around - this one stays put. I oiled it and used it several times, and no visible cutting marks like on bamboo or other butcher cutting boards. It’s obviously well-made and I like that it has round edges. I did put little round cork stickers on the bottom to lift it up off the counter as you’ll see in my photo.

Somewhat Disappointing for the $$
1st off I treated my new board with foo d grade mineral oil. This is a common practice I've done with other boards. Unfortunately within a week of use on my counter it had warped slightly so I had to flip it and used adhesive felt padding to keep it from spinning like a football. I love the American made quality but realized it's only a piece of wood.

Board is super dry
I thought that Boos Boards were quality and excited to order two and was hoping to love them. However, they are IMPOSSIBLE to get oiled to a good level. Both this board and a larger one arrived super dry and I have gone through multiple bottles of Boos Mystery oil and now mineral oil to try to get them primed and I am still failing at doing so. They continue to absorb SO much oil daily. I have been priming them now for over a month with some success on the larger board but the smaller board still feels dry. After my experience I will not be buying another Boos Cutting Board. I have an older cutting board that feels nice and oiled and I never had to go through the process with it that I have had to with these.

Pricey but high quality
This is by far the best quality chopping board we have had so I am hoping we get many years of use from it. This particular model is the thinnest one listed on Amazon and personally I would not want to have it any thicker as it would become just a bit too heavy and awkward to handle. The same goes for the size and the next one up would be too big for our work surfaces and cupboards,

Great little cutting board
I got this not for cutting food but instead for my espresso setup. I put a rubber mat on the short side then use it to protect the portafilter while I measure and tamp the coffee. The height is great for that, it's easy to wipe clean, and looks classy.

Great Chopping Board
although had to wait for the correct oil in which to put on the first time - it is now proving to be a great board

Recommended Boos Board
I love this board. It arrives untreated so I’ve oiled & waxed it & it’s just superb. Rock hard maple is brilliant, I recommend this Boos board!
