QUICK AND EASY: Slits both sides of the jacket simultaneously, allowing easy access to fiber or strength members. Save time and mess.
Good product. Saved me lots of time and fingers getting cut when preparing fiber optic enclosures. Also much easier to clean up mess after stripping out like 12 drops at the same enclosure. No little jacket bits to hunt down like you have when useing just a hook blade. No worries about damageing the drop fibers or tube with this tool wish I had gotten this sooner.

You ‘NEED’ this if you deal with flat drop
Works like a charm. I made one attempt to open flat drop without this tool. What a pain. This makes prep so easy. Depending on how many drops you do the blade last quite a long time too.

Blades wear out easy and are expensive to replace
It's a brilliant idea for it's intended purpose, but the tiny blade inside wears out quickly amd is very expensive amd time consuming to replace. When I am stripping the jacket off of the fiber, often the cable turns while i side of this tool, so the blade does not cut deeply into the edges. It will graze the top and bottom of the cable and I end up using a knife anyways. Again, great idea, but a waste of money on my part.

Game-Changer
This tool is an absolute game changer for us in the field. We used to strip 6ct with a knife or a potato peeler. I can’t begin to describe how easy, safe and fast this tool works. Wish I bought it years ago!

excellent fiber jacked stripper
I'm currently using this for stripping the outer jacket of fibre optic aerial, and burial drop lines. It cuts the outer jacket away very easily which is probably not surprising becuase the blades in it are fresh. I'm sure somewhere down the line I will have to replace the cutting blades on it but for now it works like a dream.
