Nice!

While this doesn’t replace uvb I got it for my snake tank for growing plants when I decide what to put in there. Puts off a little heat but also lots of light which are both things plants love!

Very bright - 6400K lights that do not disappoint

These lights are very bright lights. They are 6400K (color temperature in the blue range) so they are great for growing things like lettuce & green onions which is what I wanted to grow hydroponically in my kitchen. There is a timer that cycles through the settings with a single click. The timer can be off, or 12 hours on and 12 hours off, or 18 hours on and 6 hours off. Additionally the cord has an on / off toggle switch. If the unit is not producing light it could be a bad bulb, a bad light fixture, the timer could be in a 6 to 12 hour off cycle or the cord could have been toggled off. Therefore if there is no light, I recommend using the timer to see if clicking it a few times turns on the light. If it does not turn on, I would toggle the switch on the cord once and then check the timer again by clicking it multiple times. Once you check the timer before and after toggling the switch in the power cord; then you will know if the issue is with the bulb or fixture. If you are not familiar with plant lights, a full spectrum grow light with a color temperature in the blue range of 5,000K to 7,000K is used to promote vegetative growth. To promote fruiting and flowering you need a color temperature in the red range between 3,500K to 4,500K. This light is 6400K; hence it is for vegetative growth. I gave these a 4 star rating as 1 of the 5 light fixtures I bought did not work. It may have been dropped or returned by someone else; however I know that the bulb was not the issue. Since I had bought multiple fixtures, I was able to try the bulb in a different unit and it worked fine. I returned the bad light and reordered a new one and the replacement worked as expected. These lights are powerful and the timer works great!

It's an okay light...

At first I thought it was a great fixture. But then like 2 months after I got it I had to tape the plug on the fixture to hold it on because it wouldn't stay on by itself (mind you it just sat on top of a tank being used as a uvb fixture for my bearded dragons). Now not even 2 years in, one of the fixtures won't work st all. So I'm honestly not sure what to say. I feel like a fixture like this should last more than just under 2 years? Not sure. ????????‍♀️

Fast shipping, High quality

Super fast shipping, And a lot heavier duty then the one I'm replacing. Really like the new timer featcher, No more trying to member to switch the light off each night. And seems the light intensity is more correct than my other lights. It just feels right.

Stopped working after 2 weeks

I purchased 2 of these to get a jump start on my garden this year. They come with bulbs, and already put together, so that's nice. They produce enough light for my starts, good also. Heat output is not much. Bad: one stopped working after only two weeks. Thought at first I just had a bad bulb, but it turns out it's the unit. So one is still going strong at week three so I guess there is that. Think I'll invest a little more money and get a better model.

Works great for vivarium and a cheaper option

Side by side I can't tell the difference between this and the arcadia lighting fixture looks and works exactly the same and will chain together just like or with the arcadia great option for half the price

IT BROKE AFTER 2 MONTHS OF USE

Two months ago I would've given this fixture 5 stars but I'm glad I waited to leave my review. Don't waste your money. I used this thing as a fixture for my bearded dragon and it worked great at first then one morning it just wouldn't turn on anymore. I am currently waiting for a replacement to be delivered since I live in a small town without many options and my lizard has been without UVB lighting for 3 days. It's not worth the stress, buy a different light fixture.

Customer service good, product not so much.

1st package arrived with no timer or reflector. Sent a 2nd package free of charge and the timer doesn't work on this 1.
