Started to leak around the bottom.
After 2 1/2 years the 5 gallon gas can started leaking around the bottom of the container. It's a very small leak more like weeping. The gas can looks like new and has not been abused. Additional follow-up after reaching out to Justrite. I sent customer service pictures of the gas can and they have approved sending me a replacement under warranty at no cost. They do not require me to return the defective product. Based on excellent customer service I have changed my review to 5 stars.

Great Quality!! Best fuel can I've found.
I was hesitant to purchase this fuel container because of its price when compared to others I looked at. I'm glad I overcame my reluctance. The Justrite 7250120 AccuFlow 5 Gallon container is better than any steel fuel container I've owned over the past 40 years. Well worth the money I paid for it. Generally I have fuel leaking out around the cap as I pour from other steel cans. The Justrite 5 gallon can is an absolutely no-spill, no leak container.

Solid Can, Not the Best Manufacture
This is a very solid can, far superior to the plastic versions. It has a very easy to pour handle and spout, with a very secure ball type stopper. The only downsides are two. One, the filling procedure means that you have to open the very stiff spring loaded opening, while holding the can down and inserting the gas station hose nozzle into the screened opening. Then you release the stiff spring cover and it grips the nozzle. Not super hard, but more force is required than with other cans. The second issue is the general finish. I had some minor paint chips flake off and leave a few minor surfaces around the can nozzle exposed. They will eventually rust, but it will take a long time to functionally destroy the nozzle plate. The flaked paint was in the bottom of the bad. Granted the inside of the box was pretty damaged. Who knows what happened in shipping! There was also a minor rough spot in the top of the can that was not well finished. But not enough to cause me to send it back. Definitely an improvement over the plastic cans I am using.

Worth every penny!
Excellent quality. For years I've had continued headaches with the plastic jugs with safety spouts. Failing, leaking...you name it. Finally decided to get quality, and these are the real deal. Love them. Going to get some for diesel too.

Perfect for Diesel use!!!
If you read the reviews, some people say these cans are not good for Diesel storage, but NO ONE explains how long the storage period is that makes them bad. If you store Gas or Diesel I suggest you constantly replenish your stock. I don't need to "store" Diesel because I have a 100 Gallon transfer tank on my truck that is filled weekly but if I did need to "store" Diesel then I'd do it the same way I store my Gasoline. Example: I need 30 gallons of "stored" gas & and at least a half tank of gas in my vehicle to get me out of my assumed natural disaster hotspot. So, I "store" 50 Gallons of gas.... why? Because I'm always using gas. I start with 50 gallons then, when my truck needs gas again I use the oldest (2) 5 gallon cans of my "storage gas". Next week, when my truck needs to be refueled I take the (2) empty 5 gallon cans with me to the station. I repeat this process, always using the oldest 10 gallons. My "storage" gas is never more than 2 months old. If you use Diesel in the same manner I use gas then you'll never have "stored" diesel in these cans long enough to need to worry about fuel break down or contamination problems.

Safe way to store 5 gal of gas
Can pours safely through the adjustable nozzle and the spring loaded hand valve does its job nicely.

Work Well, No Spill
I was able to get a great price of $126 Canadian for the 5gal Type II with 1" hose. If you haven't tried these gas cans they are amazing and well worth the prize. With the traditional 5 gal plastic jug you end up pulling the spout out of the gas to position it for top pouring. As usually the spout will drip gas and leak around the funnel. With these gas cans you don't get your hands dirty. Simple tilt, insert and squeeze the handle. No over flow issues as you can release the handle as the tank fills. This is the 3rd one I have purchased to replace all my plastic jugs. These cans don't travel in the back of a pick up, they sit in my garage and are used to fill up the ski boat and lawn tractor. They are clean and easy to use.

Throw out that leaky plastic gas can for one of these !
Like many I have bought plenty of plastic gas cans and been annoyed with the leaks when pouring and getting gas on my hands. Gas on my hands is not so big a deal when filling the mower in the Summer but when wearing gloves in the Winter and having to fill the snow blower it is a big nuisance. This tank is as tough as they come, has spring loaded filling cap with wire mesh flame trap inside the opening and a lever next to the handle for pouring from the fixed flexible spout. It's built to meet the highest safety standards and doesn't get you stinking of gas like those horrible plastic ones. As long as it's not abused it should last decades, well worth the extra money

Excellent gasoline can !!!
I did some significant research before I purchased this gasoline can, and am VERY pleased with it. Amazon had the best price, and it arrived in 2 days. Exceptionally easy to put together (just a screw and a gasket). Works as promised, and am VERY happy with it. I use it for my 2-cycle gas trimmer, and pouring fuel into it is SO easy with this can. I have not spilled a drop, and it is very "User friendly". A tad pricey, but money well spent, and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Great Gas Can
The construction and functionality of this can is great, the only issue I have is when transferring fuel from a 5 gal container to this one, the fill cap on this can has a strong spring holding it closed. So you’ll have to get a sturdy funnel with a wide nozzle to wedge in and stay put while transferring fuel.

Weak Nozzle. Needs Solid Option.
The nozzle is the weak point on these. There should be a solid nozzle avail. The flex one starts leaking quickly. I took off the nozzle and just use it without one. Works good like that.
