CO is often called the “invisible killer” because you can’t see it or smell it, and in large concentrations it can be fatal, so having working carbon monoxide detectors is vital. The compact design means that when you plug in the carbon monoxide detector to a standard wall outlet, you'll still have space to use the second outlet. When the CO alarm detects carbon monoxide gas, 4 loud beeps will sound to alert you to the danger and a red LED will illuminate. Important and easy product!

We just moved into a new home and we noticed that it didn't have a carbon monoxide detector so we immediately wanted to install one. This plug in option, with a battery failsafe, was the obvious choice. So far so good!

Easy to install

This carbon monoxide detector was easy to install. Plugs right into a basic wall outlet and has battery backup. The batteries were included! We plugged it into one of our bedroom outlets. It gives us that peace of mind as carbon monoxide is invisible. 10 year guarantee

one of three did not work

I purchased three Kidde KN COB DP2 carbon monoxide detectors. plugged them in. Two were silent and one beeped continuously. Our heating company determined that there was no carbon monoxide in the house; therefore, one unit was defective. In this case, return any defective unit to Amazon within thirty days for a refund because otherwise Kidde's warranty requires purchaser to pay for shipping, etc.

I purchased like 4-5 of these. It’s nice to have some form of awareness if carbon monoxide enters your home. These are plug ins so you can plug up anywhere.
