Works great with Cree BR30 LED Bulbs!

My wife and I are building a new house. We purchased over a dozen Cree BR30 LED bulbs for recessed lights in various rooms. I also purchased three Lutron Skylark Contour dimmers for these lights. Unfortunately, the combination of the Cree LED bulbs and the Lutron dimmers created a noticeable (and very annoying) buzz. I searched Cree's website for a list of compatible dimmers. Cree recently updated their compatible dimmer list for their BR30 and BR40 bulbs, and the Leviton IPE04 was one of the recommended dimmers. After replacing the Lutron Skylarks with these Leviton IllumaTechs, the buzzing is gone! These particular Leviton dimmers are a bit pricey, but to me, they are worth it.

Low Voltage Slide DImmer

Matches other devices in newly renovated kitchen but illumination range is very limited. User accessible trim pot only adjusts dimmer from high to high-medium illumination. Possibly too small a load but suspect bad trim resistor installed at product assembly. I am familiar with this general design and the factory it was made in.

Great product, but expensive.

I purchased these to run LED pot lights for my basement. They work well and I really like the large on/off button compared to other models. My criticisms would be the price is high but that seems to be the case for electronic low voltage dimmers.

Sticky slide

It powers on and off just fine and dims nicely. The problem is that the slide sticks very often when trying to slide up from the most dimmed position. Several times, the only way I could slide it up was to use a butter knife. Once it has been freed doing this it works OK again for a while.

I like this series of Leviton Dimmers, but...

I was looking for a dimmer for a switching DC power supply 120VAC/12VDC (maybe they don't exist?) and the description of this "electronic low voltage" dimmer was the closest I could find. It did not work. I should have done more research first before purchasing it. I have the other load versions (incandescent) of these dimmers throughout my house and love them.

Sort of work

These dimmers did what was asked of them; they dimmed my LED lights with no flicker. What I don't like is they do not dim very much and there is a lengthy delay it turning the lights on. About two seconds

Too pricey for its flaws.

I'm not a fan of long press and clicking sounds which this dimmer suffers from. If I set the slider all the way up, my LED lights flicker so I have to bring it down about 1/6 down an then it stops flickering which it's a hassle. For this price, I would say those two issues should be non-existent.

Replacement switch

I purchased this unit a few months ago. I was replacing the exact same unit that was damaged in last year's ice storm. It is exactly what I needed, I replaced the old one and without any surprises or hassles it functioned as advertised. This product came as most all do these days, well packaged and on time.
