The advanced formulation in this clear top coat provides the same level of durability in one coat the is comparable to three coats of a conventional polyurethane. Use it to easily protect and add beauty to your wood projects. It also cleans up easily with just soap and warm water. It is available in a variety of sheens. Application Directions: 1. Surface must be dry and free of paint, wax, grease, polish, old finishes in poor condition or any foreign matter. 2. Sand to a smooth uniform surface. DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL. Remove dust with a damp cloth. Let dry completely. 3. If desired, apply Minwax stain to bare wood surfaces following label directions. Wait at least 24 hours before applying Minwax One Coat Polyurethane over Minwax Wood Finish stain. 4. Stir well before and regularly during use. DO NOT SHAKE. 5. Apply a coat of Minwax One Coat Polyurethane with a high-quality synthetic bristle brush. Apply in the direction of the wood grain in one smooth uniform coat. 6. Allow 2 hours before light handling and 24 hours before normal use.

Works well

Works well. Easy to apply for a diy project. I made a table using an old wire spool and applied this to the top. Probably not the best for outdoor use but that’s what I use it for. After it rains there will be some white water spotting since this product is water based. But once the sun comes out it dries up fine. I used two coats on the top and that’s where the water spots show up the most.

The price is good.

I used this on some 5/4 cedar that I made into seat board in a dingy. The boards turned out looking great.

Good product

It says it only takes one coat, but I did need to apply a second coat. Turned out very well and it does dry fast!

Well, maybe one coat - -

Being new to water based polyurethane, I had to learn just how to use it for my project. I did, and it does work as advertised. It is indeed quick drying, allowing for quicker finishing. On the open grained wood I was using, I did use more than one coat, and the result was just fine. Good product.

Just ok

Item is a little hard to apply when drying milky white residue settles in creases and cracks and doesn't dry clear. Gloss is very subdued.

Proper procedure, temperature & application.

I first, I was skeptical for a few reasons + bad feedback. But I read instructions on how to apply Polyurethane, desired temperatures, time throughout the process, and preparation. I'm happy with the results after applying thick coats.

Good quality but expensive for the size

The product is really good for my art work but I think it is quite expensive for the amount you get. I will run out of it quite quickly. Otherwise, as a product, I would recommend it.
