Beats the pants off Culligan's faucet filter

My local municipality sent out a notice informing residents of chemical impurities in the water system. On a hunch, I checked the Culligan FM-15RA filter online to see just what it actually filtered. Turns out, it doesn't remove a whole lot. A bit more Google-Fu and I found this Pur Plus system repeatedly came in top-5 for filtration systems. Even better, the filters (at least on Amazon) are /half/ the price of Culligan. Installation is Goofy-simple: unscrew the aerator, screw on the appropriate adapter from the kit, snap the unit to your faucet. No, it doesn't leak at all. Filter swaps are equally simple: unscrew the filter cap, remove/replace filter, replace the cap. I've destroyed two Culligan faucet filter units just trying to remove the dang filter (the O-ring on their filters is too large, causing the filter to jam inside the faucet unit.) Water taste is incredible now; I can sincerely say 'soft' and 'hard' water have different flavors. And there's less build-up inside my electric kettle! Wins all around.

Just what I wanted

I bought this to replace my original PUR PLUS filtration unit that I had for about 5 years. It has a snap on design just as my previous unit and was easy to install. It came with one water filter and instructions, was well packaged and had no damage. My original filtration unit was white. I like the chrome a lot better. It is the same great quality as my previous unit. The price online was very reasonable and I am happy with my purchase

Works great.

I like this version a whole lot better than the old screw on kind. Easy to put on , and take off to clean. Just screw the adapter in to your sink and leave it. The filter pops right on and off at the push of a button

Pur water filter I am happy to report easy install and does not leak. I had another company for just over a year . Then it started leaking . I checked the reviews and surprise I was not the only one. The Pur reviews were all positive no reason to buy any other

An easy and reliable way to protect your health

The replacement filters may be expensive, but if you truly understood the toxicity of average tap water, you'd gladly pay for the health benefit on this. The flow switch tab is flimsy, and is easily triggered when you don't want to, like when washing dishes with hot water. However, being more mindful to bump it isn't that difficult. I use this sink PUR for pasta and cooking water. But for straight drinking water, I use a Zero Water pitcher, which is higher performance. Zero Water doesn't make a sink filter, unfortunately. This is the next best thing.

Disappointed in the one click install feature!!!!

Loose but doesn’t leak. I prefer the PurPlus because it’s tighter and lasted for 4+ years. Just replaced it because the filter light stopped working. Other than that I like Pur brands ❤️❤️❤️

Pur WATER easy

This is the third PUR faucet filter system I have purchased. This was the first that ever had to be replaced. Excellent product. It, sure beats having a pitcher water filter taking up space in the refrig.
