The PumpWorks branded 3/4 HP PW-CJ75 convertible jet pump is ideal for the supply of fresh water to cottages, cabins, and small homes that have wells down to 90 feet. Convertible jet pumps can be used in shallow wells down to 25-feet (injector is installed directly on the pump), or in deep well applications down to 90 feet (injector is installed in the well). If using the pump in a deep well application, replace the injector in the well as the injector is designed specifically for this pump and will give you optimal performance. This pump includes a 30/50 pressure switch and injector kit. This is a dual voltage pump and is factory set to 230 Volts. If wiring to 115 Volt power source, voltage switch must be changed to 115 Volts otherwise pump will not perform as expected. See owner's manual for instructions. This pump is rated for 8.1 GPM. pump works well after it is installed, but very difficult to prime

The pump works well. I haven't had any issues with it. It is reasonably quiet for this type of pump. The pressure switch was set at 55psi instead of the stated 50psi. That is easily adjusted. Keep in mind that leaving the pump at higher pressure will shorten its life. The priming instructions were useless for my deep well installation. I would recommend prefilling the lines before attempting to prime the pump. It took me 3 hours and every trick in the book to finally get this pump primed. It is not the first deep well jet pump I have installed either.

Works well, quiet. Pressure switch was damaged on arrival

Would be a 5 star review as the pump is solidly built and works like a charm. Setup was straight forward and the pump is very quiet while operating. However it arrived with a badly damaged pressure switch which we had to replace(the old pump failed and we couldn't wait for a replacement). There was no damage to the box it was in so it had to have been damaged before/during packaging. Even counting the $40 for a replacement pressure switch it's still a good deal. Would recommend to anyone needing a convertible shallow well pump just make sure you check it over when it arrives.

Broken Pressure switch

No visible damage but pressure switch does not work and allows the pump to run until something breaks if you are not paying attention, could be expensive and a bit dangerous. Now I have to learn to replace, zero quality control it seems. Doesn't matter about anything else regarding the pump because it did not work.

So far so good

Installation was relatively easy. Although the base plate has slots and various holes in it none of them lined up to be able to attach the pump to my pressure tank (which is over 20 years old), so I had to remove the base plate and drill a hole. Good value as the casing on my old pump cracked this past winter and the price to replace the casing or buy a new pump were the same. The paint on the pump is thick but brittle, so whenever you remove a fitting or screw the paint chips excessively and will lead to corrosion in that area. I think the motor on the old pump ran smoother (it was an original Red Lion 1/2 HP). Happy overall.
