Excellent hitch, but a low receiver height clearing the factory bumper. Excellent value if DIY installed.
On my application, a Chevy HHR, the low hitch height is always a challenge, especially when using a cargo carrier instead of a trailer. Be aware that you will need something to raise the hitch height and may need an adapter like the 1.25" to 2" Towing Hitch Rise or Drop Extension by Rage Powersport Products that I purchased in order to be able to use a cheaper aluminum cargo carrier with a 2" tongue, anyway. Overall this is an excellent value and not too difficult to install, but if you don't have patience or some amount of mechanical skills, have a shop install it for you. Remember to lower the >>forward<< and rear muffler rubber doughnut hangers to achieve the height needed to fit the driver's side frame bolts. I forgot to do this at first, but things got much easier when I lowered the front hanger also (as per directions). This tow hitch will not be the limiting factor in how much you could tow, it will be the vehicle itself. Also, if you use an adapter and then some sort of clamp to stabilize the adapter, the bolts will hang low enough that it could easily bottom out on a driveway approach, so you may want to flip the clamp over so the bolts point upward. This hitch works well for me!

Draw bar missing
This is a nicely made and heavy hitch but like the other review it came missing the draw bar. This isn't boxed, just has the bar and bolt kit shrink wrapped around the main frame and that is why the draw bar gets torn off or stolen along the way. The bolt kit was barely hanging on and fell off in my hand when I lifted it.They need to do a MUCH better job of packaging the loose parts, like MAYBE in a box ??!! I called and Amazon wanted me to return this one and they would send another. I told them that I wasn't going to play the same game as the last reviewer and that they needed to send the draw bar. I gave them the part number listed but they couldn't just send it. They refunded me enough on the initial purchase to buy the draw bar and have it sent. Seems silly that they couldn't just send it but I guess it will work out in the end. Again, this is not an issue with the product. It's a shipping issue. The hitch is excellent.

2011 chevy HHR
This is the second hitch I installed on a small vehicle. Substantial weight for what it is. The hardware packet and instructions make it an easy install. It's weekends is only what it is installed on. The sheer strength of the unit is much higher than the frame of the vevicle these hitches are designed for. This is a great hitch for light pulling.

Works great on a Cobalt SS
I've got over 1000 miles pulling a camper this year with the draw bar and zero issues. Install was a bit tricky on my own since one side is heavier than the other but with enough grunting it went on.

Missing pieces, but a good product
I have found no problems with the actual product itself. My problem is the same as everyone else's. When you received this item, it will, more than likely, be missing the drawbar, pin and clip. Amazon will work with you to resolve this matter, though.

Take your time on insulation, use torque wrench and torque to the factory recommendations
Good product but the bolts are a little track to get in the frame of the car . The handy wire tool is the bomb too

Deceptive advertising. It shows a draw bar with it in all the pictures!!!
It shows a draw bar with it in ALL the pictures!!! The other ones were 20 dollars cheaper and did not show the draw bar. DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING plain and simple

30 min job to install
Wd40, move four rubber hangers, drop exhaust, drilled two holes bigger, pull the bolts through (with tool provided in kit) then do the hanger nuts up tight, push exhaust up into place, push rubber hangers back into place finally let car back down off jacks and stands. Remove all wheel chalks. And you are driving to pick up your trailer or Hitch rack 30 minutes later. Have fun and play safe. (Use all safety procedures and equipment required)
