GREAT PRODUCT HOWEVER

Great Product However the 5-in-1 Sensor can be hard and dangerous to install. I could not find a mast to fit the 3/4 mounting of this sensor, but a simple modification of the Ambient Weather Mount worked just fine. I purchased 23972 3/4-inch PVC 5 foot SCH40 from Lowes for less than $5.00. Cut off a 12 1/2 long section. This fit the 5-in-1 sensor. Inserted into J-pipe of Ambient Mount or Extensions after wrapping the lower PVC pipe three times 4 wraps of duck tape spaced apart to tighten the connection. I then used two sheet metal screws to lock it in place. (only a short screw that enter the PVC pipe on one side) I found attaching this mast up high to the home gable was too dangerous for me. I finally installed on a wood deck railing. after purchasing the Ambient Mast 3-piece Extension Set. I mounted the Mounting Bracket sideways on the wood railing that allows the mast to be swing sideways for any Maintenace or battery change of the 5-in-1 sensor in the future. No ladder is never needed again after loosing the 7/16 carriage bolt and the 7/16 hex bolt on the mounting bracket. SAFE IN THE FUTURE!

ACCURATE IN ALL WEATHER

Really solid weather station. The water, temp and wind gauge is solar powered and really easy to install. It can be mounted on a porch or railing side but we sunk in about 2ft of an 8ft pole and then mounted it to that in an open field at our camp so nothing is blocking it. The indoor monitoring system is plug and play. Super easy set up and has a ton of options that you can set the main screen to. There is also a rolling screen below that you can set up that gives you historical data. I didnt get the wifi model but wish I did because our camp weather is in the Northern New England in between 2 mountain ranges so the weather stations don't always match whats really going on. Ive had this one up over a year and its as accurate as can be even down to the -34 F degree day we had with a -39 wind chill last year. We are often in the - below zero range here. Anyway great overall model that is easy to use, provides a good variety of weather details, and study.

Rain gauge sensitive to vibration

Overall great product, FYI i mounted it on the same tower as my wind turbine but there is enough vibration that it ticks the rain gauge when there's no moisture. Wish I got 2" of rain yesterrday but nope just 30 mph winds.

Had others which had outstanding colors these colors are weak and tough to see at different angles

I got this to replace one we had because it was damaged during a wind storm.

It was fairly easy to install and set up, but I don't know that it is really accurate. It may take a lot longer to "learn" the weather as it keeps showing across the bottom of the screen "learning". I will give it more time.

My husband loves it.

My husband loved the first one so when it broke down I bought it as a replacement. Don't waste your time and money on the insurance, it's so hard to file your claim and they do make it easy to get ahold of them..

Good performance, needs a few design tweaks

Purchase to replace a LaCrosse weather station when their remotes started failing. Mounted the all -in one sensor cluster on a piece of 3/4" EMT I had left over, padding a bit with flexible rubber strip for a secure fit. Simple to set up, the manual is good and very detailed. Like the concept of having solar power on the sensor since it is almost sure to see sun if you choose a good location. The indoor display is large and while it is powered off a wall-wart power supply, it has batteries for backup. Our biggest issue is the display looks good when viewed at the right angle in the best light, but can be hard to read in a room's natural light and the choice of background colors makes for low contrast on the things you want to see at a glance - like temp & wind. Having a choice of a plain black-on-white display, while not pretty, would greatly improve visibility to our "senior" class vision. We will have to see how it holds up to our locally mild weather in the long term

Best weather station on the market

This weather station is amazing, very accurate, easy to view and navigate screen. Provides so much more information than my previous weather station. Easy to install. I liked it so much I bought two more to give as Christmas gifts. Replacement parts are available so no more replacing the entire weather station. Definately recommend this product.

Not colour

It’s very misleading to say it has a full colour display! It’s a colour overlay. It’s a b&w lcd screen. It would be like colouring in the screen of a black and white tv and then saying it’s a colour tv!
