Great except....

Love everything about this alarm except the volume. Not very loud compared to the much older model and brand that finally went bad. I put this on my workshop door. The old one would send seal team six running for cover. This one isn't much more than half as loud, but otherwise works well.

Well worth the cost.

I do not have a regular home security system so have been using these alarms for several years. They make a lot of noise & I feel very secure with them. The only problem is that the key to turn the alarms off and on wear out & break. Would love to just be able to buy keys, but just so glad I can still get the alarms.

I love this product. I live alone, lost my dog, etc etc etc and I have this at my back door which is pretty much hidden. This works perfectly. Batteries last forever as well. Thank you for making me feel safer in these days.

I will be happy to update in a few months after using if there are any changes with the unit. Great item and satisfied. Thank you I will give it a 5 Star rating. Good alarm but I would prefer battery compartment be on the back where it would need to be removed from the door to remove battery. Didn't take teenager long to remove battery.

sometime cheap and easy is the way to go

i had one of these 30 years ago that i bought at radio shack. put it up, used it and didn't think much more about it. came home one morning to find a note from my landlord saying the neighbors had heard it and called police. there was a footprint in my kitchen sink (the only other way to enter, thru the kitchen window). this $20 alarm saved my TV, VCR, Atari computer, camera gear, etc. one of the first thing thieves do is open a door so they can get out fast if there is a problem, and there was. i know it's cheap, i know it might not work for everyone, but hey, it saved me a couple thousand bucks, so i'm doing it again.

Extremely loud - very good alarm

This door alarm has been vital in ensuring that my Dad, who has dementia, does not wander out at night with the dog. We discovered he was going iut at 3 a.m. And would hang out int he yard and so with this alarm if it doesn't wake up my mom, the neighbors will DEFINITELY hear! It is extremely loud. Just have to be careful that once it is set yiu don't accidentally open the door because yiu will have ringing ears for a while.

Really loud well made

Very loud I like that. But when you try to turn it off with the key, the key has to be placed correctly. Took me more time than I liked with the alarm blaring to place the key in correctly. That's why I took one star off. But I will get it right.
