VERY LOUD! A few things you should know before you buy
I purchased these to put on a couple doors that I leave open in one way or another at night (a screen door at the front door & a sliding glass door in the back). They are very easy to install & very loud (when they work correctly). They come with 3 settings; a 2-tone doorbell sound that sounds once, a siren that sounds continuously until the magnetic strips disables it again & an off setting (for when you don't want either sounds to activate). I ordered 2 of these , the first one had a problem with 1 in the 2-pack being extremely quiet & I contacted Amazon for a partial refund on the 1 defective sensor, they ended up refunding both (without having to return the working one, the other one got thrown away), knowing that I would have to order another single later. I later ordered a second 2-pack & again looked like I was going to have to file another return on 1 of the 2 in the pack, however after removing the batteries from it & putting them back in, it worked as well as the other 2 I had that didn't have any problems. I may end up finding myself purchasing another 2 in the near future (realizing I forgot to put one on the door that leads to the garage). Note that the effectiveness of the siren setting can be mitigated based on the fact that the siren stops sounding as soon as it's closed, so while it might sound when triggered, depending on how quickly the door/window is closed after it starts sounding is how quickly the siren stops sounding; with any luck, the siren will chase off somebody trying to break into the house, but this won't stop them from getting inside the house & quickly closing the door to get the siren to stop sounding (if they know how they work), so I recommend having a backup plan (I have a stungun for self-defense & a softball bat for home defense) if necessary. Another thing to point out is these devices sometimes have a quirk when you change the setting, where it will sound the doorbell sound once directly after you arm it (even if the door/window is still closed). 2 out of the 3 working ones I have are doing this, which is something I'm not happy about because it's disturbing to the neighbors when I arm them late at night (leaving the front door open in the front & placing the sensors on the screen door, as well as leaving the sliding glass door partially open, placing the sensor so it will go off if it's moved from that locked position that is holding the door in place). One final note is that these devices use button batteries, LR44 batteries (or other compatible equilivant, such as an SR44), which I've had a problem finding at local stores (even at Sam's Club where I've been able to find other button batteries fairly easily). I ended up ordering some on Amazon due to inability to find them locally. While you may not need to replace the batteries for a while (I'll update this review with how long the batteries lasted later), it would be smart to have some handy for when you need them or if you have to troubleshoot a problem with one of the sensors if it's not working correctly.

Toy Alarm
This wireless Home Security Door Window Burglar Alarm with LOUD 120 dB Siren is exactly as described, its very loud when you are near it pointed directly at your ear. I turned it on on the top shelf of the walk in closet. Before I got out of the bedroom, I couldn't hear it. Its a very high pitched alarm with a fast cycle. I would call it more of an "alert" that an alarm. Its small and well built, the sound just does not carry very far, through walls, in a home. For the price, it would make a great child safety device, but its also very eacy to turn off. I wouldn't count on it as a burglar alarm. As I write this, I have a headache from its piercing high pitch up close. Might scare a burglar? I raised it one star to "4".

Not great for front doors; probably fine for windows and rarely used doors
I live in an apartment in a neighborhood where theft is becoming a huge issue. People break into my building a few times a month to steal packages and bikes, so I wanted something on my front door while I was away from home. For that purpose, I'd probably give this a 2 star - one star because it is as advertised - it's extremely loud (too loud in my opinion, but I won't hold it against them - they warned us!) and a second star because it's easy to use and install. However, it just doesn't work well on your primary door for while you're out. If your concern is security while you're inside your home, this would work just fine for you, which is why I gave it the third star. It would work great for doors or windows that aren't being opened frequently and when you're always going to be on the secure side of the opening. I use an Addaloc on my front door while I'm home and am on the 4th floor without a balcony, so those situations didn't apply to me. I just needed some security on my front door when I was at work. There's no delay timer on it, so every time I came in or went out, it went off. Not only did it scare my cats, it also scared me! That might be good for an alarm, but even the chime is extremely loud. I would probably get noise complaints from my neighbors registered against me if I came home after a late evening. The first night I got it, I turned on the chime and then brought out the trash in two trips. By the time I got back from the second trip, I was dreading opening my door, my two cats were hiding under furniture and were refusing to come out, and I was opening the door as quickly as possible so I heard less of it. I then turned it completely off and it hasn't been back on since. Long story short - probably great for windows; not so great for front doors.

Good and cheap "insurance"
Received it fast and installed it on the door in few seconds, works perfectly and loud enough for it to make pain in anyone's ears! Would like for it to keep going for a few more seconds after the doors open, but now it stops as soon as the door closes which would probably tell that it a "fake"

Nice and loud
These are fine and loud enough my only issue is they are easy to switch off if someone broke in so have to be consealed a bit so they would take a while to find , they don’t stick to wood

It’s really really loud
Super easy to install and works well. Just…..it’s flipping loud. For the alarm function that’s the kind of loud I want but as a censor just to open/close the door I have to keep it off because it’s too loud. Besides that it’s great. Did I mention it’s loud? Lol
