One of the best mineral oils I have used for food safe wood items.

It brings out the grain nicely in wood and allows you to still smell the wood...oil has no scent that I can detect. It protects the wood nicely and can prevent splitting. Easy to use and best results for me are when I apply an oil beeswax mix after this oil has soaked in. The beeswax mixture allows a longer time between applications.

Perfect for conditioning wood products & granite sink!

Who knew!? I had never heard of cutting board oil nor considered using it until we were in the process of remodeling our kitchen. When the woodworker presented us with our new cutting board, he told us to be sure to condition the board with cutting board oil. The photo of the results speaks for itself! As an added benefit, the 100% food grade mineral oil in Hubbard's does an incredible job cleaning water spot from our granite sink and restoring it to a beautiful shine that lasts for more than a month!

No odor

We’re using this in place of polyurethane on our walls, no odor is present and it makes the wood have a nice subtle sheen! Probably have to buy more as some point!

Now I just use Mineral Oil....

No complaints about Howard's Butcherblock Oil. Since the "active ingredient" really is the mineral oil I now just use just that for a fraction of the price. Nothing wrong with this product. Just not necessary for me personally to pay for a hyped up name brand item.

Great stuff

I have an expensive, high quality cutting board and I use this product to condition it. The oil smells pleasant and never imparts a taste or smell to food I cut on the board.

Worth the Cost

I do quite alot of cutting boards and this is a steal $10 for 8fl oz. Versus this $40 for 128fl. Do the math!

Used it last night -- went on my butcher block, cutting boards and wooden spoons very easily, and there is indeed no smell or taste to it. The company included several cloths to use with it, which was terrific. I used one to apply the oil, another to wipe off the excess this morning, then put each in their own plastic bag for the next time. Everything looks so conditioned, and water beads up instead of soaking in. It's just what I was looking for.

Great stuff - red seal cabinet maker approved :)

Really amazing stuff, we haven’t used it on all of our bamboo countertops yet. Husband is a cabinet maker and is a wood worker.. the bamboo countertops we did use it on is our china cabinet and we used an oil based stain and we found that the mineral oil didn’t absorb very well into the wood grain because of the stain (recommend using water base if one wants to use stain but we weren’t too sure if is good safe, so we are not using stain on the rest of the countertops in the kitchen- colour is very similar anyways). But we are very happy with how it turned out! Will be purchasing again. ???? Only saying 4/5 because we haven’t used it on bare wood yet, will see how it goes and will update my review :)

Normal mineral oil

Expensive for normal and ordinary mineral oil. There is other cheaper product of same quality on the market.

Highly recommend howards

Have used many different brands of food grade mineral oil. This one is my favorite. Goes on really easily and provide a nice fresh light coat. I am very pleased and highly recommend Howard's.
